"I am a picky American traveler who has stayed in multiple hotels in Kisumu. The Pinecone has excellent value for its cost. The staff are very accommodating and tried hard to address any issue that arose. Specifically, the restaurant took a long time to prepare food but that it is because each meal is 'made to order'. "The Hotel is ok to good, the staff certainly raise the level. Rooms could certainly do with a refresh, the bathroom is straight out of the 80’s but kept clean. Bedroom windows wouldn't lock, and had gaps that let a lot of noise through. Food was good and varied enough. Overall a pleasant enough stay"
