Cheap Hotels in Marinduque

"The hotel was very clean. The room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. No coffee maker in the room. The pool was great. But nowhere to lay in the sun - tiny area around the pool tsken up by plants. THE NOISE, DAY AND NIGHT! A bunch of chickens or roosters squawked at random hours throughout the night, for hours!! OMG! I was exhausted from lack of sleep! 11 pm, 1:30 am, 4 am, 6 am and then all day.. and at the pool, the hotel must be in the middle of some sort of metal grinding shop or construction going on all day. No relaxation what so ever. As for the restaurant in the hotel.. Only breakfast is served. Lots of staff. Then thats it. I walked around town, but, there are no restaurants that I'd eat in. Theres nothing to do in this town either. No sight seeing. I walked down to the pier about 1.5 km away. Dirty. Tiny. No beach. Water is dirty. Smells. I would avoid this town. If you can handle the noisy chickens, I think this it the only hotel? But, best to stay in the van and get to San Jose and then Coron asap."

"I enjoyed my time here. The owner an his family were very nice. An friendly to us but to ge honest. This was more of a camp ground then a resort. It had lots of flaws. Food was extremely over priced. The bathrooms were very gross. Self flush toilets gross tolit water on thr floor. No toliet paper or bidet to rince or wash with. I used my hand at one point. The showers were outside with no privacy at all. The tent was to hot an the cabins were 6 times the price of rent. For only a week. Witch was kind of ridiculous considering the lack of Accommodations. But that all said i had fun. Theres kyakes to rent we payed the owner 3,000 pacos. To take us on a boat ride we took the most amazing pictures an videos. An the owners family works really hard to make this place run. I payed for a 7 days but only stayed 3. But it was a fun 3 days. If they put more money into the up keep. I would of given this a better review. The place is really beautiful though just very over-priced for what it is. "

"What a hidden gem. Beautiful surroundings and views. Restaurant well priced, generous portions and enjoyable. Accomodation cost extremely well priced. Was stopover on way back to Manila but next time will stayover few days to enjoy the ambience and facilities more. "
