"Great hotel, good buffet breakfast."

"This hotel is nice and conveniently located to everywhere near the center of town. I stay in this hotel whenever I visit Trujillo. In the past, my only complaint was the wi-fi, but they have fixed that, and it my last visit, the wi-fi was excellent. The food at the restaurant was great and priced affordably, so my wife and I dined a couple of times in there without issues."

"If you choose to stay in Huanchaco, this is a good option. Please understand, this is not an American hotel and much similar to what you will find in parts of Europe - maximum this would get two-three stars in America. It is clean, the staff is very nice (only speaks Spanish with limited English). But the views are great, it is right off the main strip. They use traditional keys, the AC is AC not heat, they hand you the remotes when you check in, etc. If I return, I will probably try the Westin in the middle of Trujillo (not sure if they have a better plumbing "situation" then the rest of the city), but I would consider staying here again if I were to stay in Huanchaco."
