"The hotel was clean and well furnished. We had a balcony room which had fabulous view of the river, a great place for watching nature around you. It was very peaceful. The pool area is good with separate pool for toddlers. This also overlooks the river. The staff were excellent. All polite and helpful which you find a lot in Sri Lanka. "The staff was very helpful (for instance, they offered umbrellas when we were going out as it was raining and made us fresh tea each morning). The room was clean and good value. The property is in walking distance to Lake Kandy and the temple."

"I was not well so this may colour my view. I was not prepared for the very long steep walk to and from our room which made me think twicw about going anywhere. Curtains which were huge were full of dust and everything smelt of and was penetrated with incense. Food was basic and over priced. Without transport and travelling a long distance there was no where else to go to eat or get snacks. No alcohol. Some very purist guests who told us off several times for talking. Now the positives....

"The hotel and staff were truly first class! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed, featuring stunning high ceilings and a fantastic balcony with a breathtaking view. Although our stay was short, we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the hotel's charm and hospitality. The location was also perfect—peaceful yet conveniently close to town, making it easy to explore the local sights, restaurants, and beaches. A wonderful experience overall, and we can’t wait to return! "
