"We were on the 10th floor looking toward Sakarajima Island. Wonderful view watching the ferrys come and go. Great breakfast and lunch buffet. Also, a high end Japanese restaurant. Lots of izakayas in walking distance. Ferry to the island is a 2000 yen cab ride. Comfortable beds spacious room."

"What I liked about the hotel was that it had its own sand covering experience because Kagoshima is known for this experience but usually at another location. The thing that I didn’t like was the fact that the bathtub water faucet was leaking water and making the bathtub dirty. Also if you are not use to sleeping on tatami style bedding it’s going to be hard to get a good sleep. "

"The staff was really, REALLY NICE and made our stay here quite memorable. This is an older (not a luxury) property, so consider that, but it includes some nice amenities: airport transport, pool, bicycles, proximity to dive shop and water. The breakfast buffet was yummy and generous, accommodating both Asian and Western tastes, and served in an airy space. Again, thanks to the staff for making it so pleasant! "

"The hotel was very ‘weathered’ and definitely requires a bit of love. However, this made it feel very comfortable and something I got used to quickly. In a sense, the negative points became the positives! The staff were polite and helpful, the room was fine and breakfast did the job! Evening restaurants were REALLY good, but check opening times! Great sightseeing points nearby in both good weather and bad. All in all, a very enjoyable few days! Thank you!"
