"I had a week of very quiet restful vacation. I wanted sun, warm ocean water to dip on and cold beer. Got this basic. There was a pool table to while away some time. And I got to do some surf fishing as well. So all fine with me. The property is quite remote - around 2 hours from Denpasar airport. You get quiet but no party. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The property was clean and comfortable. Food choice from the kitchen is adequate. Overall a good value for your money."

"The hotel position on the beachfront was fantastic. Breakfast and meals looking out at the sea and the surfers you could not beat or the view from the infinity pool. The rooms were well decorated and spacious, with a huge balcony, ours had an elevated sea view which we loved. The food in the restaurant was delicious and most importantly the staff, they were so attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We are hoping to go back for...

"Pros: -excellent and polite staff that made me feel at home -clean pool -fast check in -large, clean room in front of the pool -easy Airplay from MacBook to Sony tv -very delicious food at the restaurant -clean white towels -well manicured grounds -beachfront -lots of water provided daily - didn't have to ask for extra water -drinks in the fridge free - replenished daily Cons: -glass doors rattle when winds are strong -should have someone at the pool to stop outsiders from using the pool "

"Overall our stay at Medewi Bay Retreat was wonderful. Since this was our first trip to Bali, we didn’t have a lot of experience with the different areas of the island, and didn’t realize how remote this area was. We knew Medewi was a very popular surf destination and nearby to Negara, but other than that it is a far more rural/remote area than Kuta, Changgu or Ubud.
