"I had a week of very quiet restful vacation. I wanted sun, warm ocean water to dip on and cold beer. Got this basic. There was a pool table to while away some time. And I got to do some surf fishing as well. So all fine with me. The property is quite remote - around 2 hours from Denpasar airport. You get quiet but no party. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The property was clean and comfortable. Food choice from the kitchen is adequate. Overall a good value for your money."

"The hotel position on the beachfront was fantastic. Breakfast and meals looking out at the sea and the surfers you could not beat or the view from the infinity pool. The rooms were well decorated and spacious, with a huge balcony, ours had an elevated sea view which we loved. The food in the restaurant was delicious and most importantly the staff, they were so attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. "The Kelapa Retreat and Spa is a glorious oasis far from the bustling areas of Bali. It is truly gorgeous and it seems that all the rooms are amazing and unique. The views are amazing, the infinity pools very relaxing, the beach is gorgeous and it feels like it is private. The waves and current can be string but its super fun for boogey boarding. "Overall our stay at Medewi Bay Retreat was wonderful. Since this was our first trip to Bali, we didn’t have a lot of experience with the different areas of the island, and didn’t realize how remote this area was. We knew Medewi was a very popular surf destination and nearby to Negara, but other than that it is a far more rural/remote area than Kuta, Changgu or Ubud.
