"I learned the hotel was first built 1876, the first in Germany to have electricity for lighting and the first in Frankfurt to have a landline for long-distance calls. That's pretty unique! Staff is very responsive, courteous, and pleasant. Rooms were a nice size, all clean. Easy walkable access to many things. After we figured out the underground (it's massive), had access to a spot across town a bit. "

"The nice part of Frankfurt is small and very walkable...the Sofitel is perfectly positioned and the hotel is new and modern and the staff is fantastic...Not sure if I'll ever go back to Frankfurt...but if I do...I will be staying there again"

"As others have noted, area around hotel is savory. But you avoid it if you are arriving by train and you exit station at north exit in which case you only need to walk across the street. The hotel has entry steps that were challenging with luggage but doable. I’m surprised they haven’t built a ramp."
