Historic Hotels in Friesland from SAR 220

"Super convenient location across Leeuwarden train station. It is a small boutique style hotel. I loved the Nespresso machine and the daily capsules complimentary refill, also nice emptied mini-fridge for use and kettle. Room was large and very clean. My room had an outdoor terrace but the view are not nice as they overlook vents and tubes from the restaurant next door. Heating worked perfectly fine. "

"Netjes en schoon, maar niet geschikt als gezin. Teveel rumoer buiten en onze bovenburen maakten veel lawaai middenin de nacht na het stappen. We moesten ook nog extra betalen voor handdoeken en bedlinnen, dat zit normaliter toch echt in een hoteltarief. "

We used the balcony most days and the local bar restaurant four times. Recommend Catharina is extremely helpful. We arrived on a Sunday after a week on road and she laid up some things to get us through Monday morning. She kindly did a load of washing to get us...

"The place exceeded our expectations. Lawrence is a first class host. The place is really quirky and well worth the money. Leeuwarden is just a fantastic base in the north of the country and we made a visit to one of the Wadden Islands with a two hour ferry journey which was splendid. "
