"The hotel is really nice. All staff, without exception, were fantastic! we had a few very minor issues with things and they were sorted immediately. Reception went to a lot of effort to get us replacement tickets for our train after the our flight to Luxor was canceled. The roof top restaurant is a really nice place to eat, with views of the Great Pyramids, the food was exceptionally good and very reasonably priced. Only down side, the road outside is quite busy so you get some traffic noise in the room. The reason i marked down the area around the property is, its not just the area around the property that's run down, its the whole of Cairo. But you just have to get into the spirit of the city. All of the local people we met while out on the street were really friendly, and we never felt threatened in any way. Cairo is an eye-opener, so be prepared!"
