"First off, the rooms at The Loren are large, beautifully appointed, and the bathrooms spacious and well lit. The ocean views from the 2nd floor rooms are as good as promised - we stayed in the main building and the waves crashing on the beach were literally 20 feet away. The main cocktail bar is a bit of a disappointment; it felt like it was an afterthought by the architect. It's tucked away in a corner on a floor below reception and above the restaurant. "Overall, the hotel/resort is very nice and serene. The beach front rooms provide a relaxing atmosphere. The current renovations make for a couple of hazardous areas, but surprisingly, no noise. There is only one restaurant on the premises - it has limited hours and is overpriced. The food was superb and the service excellent."
