"The Blue Roatan is an amazing experience. The hotel is quiet and serene, surrounded by a jungle and gardens, with shared lounges, decks and pools. The resort is walkable to the busy beaches if that's what you are looking for. The Blue Roatan Beach club serves delicious drinks and food, and has a beautiful pool and beach area. The staff are awesome and happy to help with anything, such as a tuc tuc, or exursions. There are great restaurants that are easily walkable or water taxi to West Bay or West End. I can ot wait to go back. "

"This property was gorgeous! Very peaceful and had a rustic but elegant feel. Everything was spotless...even the sand is cleaned of debris perfectly (helps keep bugs at bay). The staff were truly amazing...from our housekeepers, bartenders, front desk staff, security guard...every single person made our stay exceptional. The property is small, quiet and peaceful. My husband and I can't say enough good things! If I had to pick a suggestion for change...it'd be to add some pots of hummingbird friendly flowers around the pool and on the decks. We saw several hummingbirds approach looking but they quickly left because of no flowers. Seriously...how often can you say something like that would be the ONLY complaint! We'll be back for sure!"

"Great resort. We were two adults and two teens. The location in West Bay is absolutely perfect—right in the middle of the resort area and just steps from the beach. The on-site restaurant was fantastic, with beachside service. The resort’s pool was a great to relax, and the rooftop pool was quiet. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Ideal beachfront getaway with top-notch amenities and service. Thank you!"

"Spent a weekend at La placita last month and enjoyed every second of it. The property is located right by the beach and has multiple dining options along with small convenience stores on site. Also the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the island, Planning a second visit soon. "

"I only stayed one night so I didn't get to try all the amenities but the food at the restaurant was good and front desk staff were really nice and helpful. Only complaint is the shuttle schedule. I was unaware of it on arrival so if you need to be at the airport at a certain time, you may have to order a taxi. Overall, good place. Plan to revisit."
