"Second stay here on our journey back to UK from Portugal. Great place, clean, comfortable and the owner is a gentleman. Local restaurant was closed this time of year, which was a shame as it’s really good food and good value but the owner pointed us to a place about 9 km away and the food was good and dogs were welcome. We will be back during our travels. Thanks"

"Great location, but this was not a great “hotel”. This is an enclosed hostel. The beds were stiff and old. The place lacked soap or shampoo. The towels they give you are cheap and never dry after one use. Mold in the showers. I cannot believe I paid $312 dollars for this place. Really uncomfortable stay. "

"Intentar evitar este sitio, es una comuna que lo único que busca es surf y fiesta hasta las 5 de la mañana. Está súper sucio y las habitaciones nosotros lo cogimos para 3 y no existe. Cuando llegas te dicen que está mal y que te tienes que adaptar a lo que hay."

"Share facilities can differ dependant on guest using at the time. however there are house rules given to you on arrival which you sign a recognition form stating a fine if you break house rules. My experience... drunk males & females shouting down the hallways to each other, people violently vomiting into the toilets, used condoms left in bathroom/toilets & paper thin walls that you can hear every sound. This was not in dorms this was private rooms with shared bathrooms"

"Villa Birdie has to be one of the best places we've stayed. The hotel is stunning from the minute you arrive. Blanca (the host & owner) greets you with a beeming smile and treats you like like a celebrity. The location is perfect, a 20 minute walk into the centre of town, regular bus & train service near by. The rooms are modern, clean and well equipped. Literally cannot fault the place and Blanca and her team are a joy to have host you! "
