Cabin Stay
We slept well, beds are comfy. Very quiet and the sunrises are spectacular. We spent minimal time at the cabin but time spent was peaceful and relaxing.

Great Base Camp Location!
If you’re looking for peace and quiet at 9,000 feet this is the place. My wife and I chose Evergreen, CO as it was centrally located to all of the places we wanted to see in a week. Besides doing a ton of stuff in the Evergreen area and for reference, when went north to Rocky Mountain National Park, south to Pikes Peak/Garden of the Gods, east for a hike/concert at Red Rocks and west to the Mount Birstadt. We chose the cabin because it’s just that, a cabin on a mountain. It was exactly as advertised and what we were looking for in order to eat, sleep, shower and recharge for the next days adventure. Is it fancy? No, but we’re aren’t “fancy” kind of people. Was it clean and comfortable with everything you need to unplug for a week? Absolutely. Quick note, a majority of cabins at altitude do not have AC….because it’s not necessary. A couple of box fans (provided) and open windows are all you need. If you rent, make sure you follow the instructions in Michael’s packet, especially about NOT following phone app driving guidance, follow Michael‘s written directions instead. Also take his advice about driving straight to the cabin the first day/night, relax and then make a grocery run the next morning. The drive up the mountain is no joke. Take your time, slow down and shift the vehicle manually if you have that option. When we come back to CO, we may not stay in the Evergreen area, but Michael’s cabin will be our measuring stick for another simple cabin on a mountain!

Cabin Stay
Overall a nice stay. The house was clean and comfortable. A few things that prospective tenants need to know. The house is in a mountain community with homes very close by so don’t expect complete privacy and quiet. We were woken on Sunday morning by the neighbor’s workers using a jack hammer to drill a pier for a deck. They were loud all day long… on a Sunday morning! The windows by the wood stove and above the kitchen sink have no window coverings so privacy is lacking there too. Overall a good stay though.

Getaway Cabin
The cabin is quite comfortable although the drive to Evergreen is a bit longer than we had anticipated, about 25 minutes. While we used the cabin as a base of operations for daily area activities, it may better serve as a relaxation hideaway. Be aware you will be asked to change the sheets and start laundry at checkout. Wish all hosts would follow the growing trend of requiring no checkout housekeeping chores.

Clean, Comfortable Cabin
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin is clean and very homey and comfortable. Michael was a terrific host, readily available and easy to communicate with. The property is at a pretty high altitude, but for us that simply meant significantly cooler temperatures than staying in Denver. We would definitely stay in the cabin again when we are in the area.

This cabin is great for those who want peace and quiet, and convenient access to the beautiful Maxwell Falls hiking area. Michael's driving directions were specific, clear and easy to follow. He also had information about hikes and other activities in the area. He was responsive to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay.

Cozy Cabin
We loved our stay at the wilderness cabin. Looks just like the pictures and Michael couldn’t have been a better host. The master bedroom bed was a bit firmer than what we are used to but overall no issues. A nicely stocked kitchen was a plus!!

Lovely little cabin
Truly beautiful cabin. Fully furnished with nice furniture, even nice decorations. Stocked kitchen pans, dishes, utensils. Towels and bedding. Seemed quaint with rustic wood and leather, yet modern, with Wi-Fi, TV, washer and dryer. Not as isolated as I’d thought it would be with homes all around but not right close. One of the neighbors was blasting music loudly for two days outside, but once that stopped, everything was perfect. Much, much better than staying in a hotel, and surprisingly only a little more per night than the local hotel.

Property was amazing, the mountains so majestic. Peaceful & quiet. Lots of comfortable spaces inside & out to enjoy the splendor. Had everything we needed extra blankets, hot shower, complete kitchen, excellent internet. Place was very clean, soft sheets, great southwest theme going on. We did not feel totally isolated and that was good!!! Our host very helpful, always available, gave excellent directions (important). It was an awesome place to be in

Wonderful Get-Away Cabin!
The cabin was a great get away for us yet we could enjoy the local businesses. Hiking is close by and we took advantage of that as well as 2 concert nights at Red Rocks! Very quiet and clean cabin with amenities. Wi-fi is limited so if you plan to do any work video meetings may have problems. We called into meetings without video and that worked fine. Overall, loved this cabin/House in the woods.

Great Place!
The cabin is exactly as described... both bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The owner does an excellent job communicating directions and expectations. He lives close by and is available if any issues arise. We didn't have any concerns during the week we stayed, but Michael did stop by to remind us he was available if needed. The road is "somewhat" rugged to reach the cabin; however, we have a small SUV with AWD and did not have any concerns. The cabin was very clean, but be aware you are expected to contribute to the cleaning prior to departure. Again, this is clearly communicated by Michael prior to final booking. The cabin was very comfortable and exactly what we were looking for... we plan to revisit!

A lovely cabin
This rental was close enough to town but felt removed. There are other homes in the area but there are so many trees you felt pretty alone and it was lovely. We saw deer and a fox wander around the cabin, were able to do several nice hikes with the kids near by, found an off-road trail, and discovered great eats in town. Michael was responsive and a good host. We would stay at his cabins again and would recommend them to others.

A wonderful getaway
My family wanted to see snow and spend some time in the mountains. This provided both those options. The town of Evergreen sits below the location, and has many interesting and unique shops as well as major chains being 20-30 minutes away. The location is private, yet safe. The cabin rooms are a good size and the wi-fi works incredibly well, in case you want to check out netflix or that. The heat works great. All in all, great time building snowmen and enjoying some rocky mountain pizza. If you are into hiking or nature at all, this cabingives easy access to many locations.

The ONLY drawback was the TV. Too small to see from couch and the picture was dark. After being out all day. It would have been perfect to have been able to sit down and watch the news, etc. Other than that, great place!!
