I prefer to stay with Hampton Inn and Suites when I travel because I usually have a positive experience. This was my first time at the Cherry Creek location in Denver. I chose this location because it had an indoor swimming pool and hot tub listed. I was also told by staff I could pay $10 per day to leave my car while I took a family trip on Amtrak.
Jeremy was the front desk attendant when I checked in and truly the only saving grace of this review. He was very friendly and helpful. He also told me there would be no charge for me to leave my car in the parking lot since I had been a guest, as long as I understood, I was parking at my own risk. He assured me that Cherry Creek was safe neighborhood. (I returned to my car, safe and sound 4 days later).
This property is dingy, dirty, & outdated. Specifically carpets, pool area, and cheap repairs noted in our bathroom. Sadly, the hot tub was out of service, and the pool temperature was too cold to swim in. No one wants to swim in a cold pool in the winter. The pool decking resembled textured concrete. It had been painted over and the paint was flaking badly. The pool looked dirty, but I assume it was the same painting situation. The pool needs to be resurfaced and the pool area needs remodeled badly. Very disappointed that the hot tub was out of service.
I will not recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay here again.
