The Space:
Welcome to the Avenue Hotel, a historic building that overlooks Golden’s downtown and the famous “Welcome to Golden” arch. Since it was built in the 1870s, the building has housed a grocery store, a hotel, the Golden Globe Newspaper, a dry goods store, a carpet store, a furniture store, and a chapel. Many prominent businessmen, politicians, and judges have stayed in this building throughout the years, putting it on the map as an important hub in Golden for the last 150 years!
The Golden City Suite is a recently updated apartment in the heart of Downtown Golden, bustling with delicious restaurants, unique shops, cultural attractions, and special events throughout the year!
Renovated to include a sleek kitchen, 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 pristine bathrooms, and a comfortable living room, this property has all the amenities with authentic charm. Each bedroom is spacious, with queen-sized beds, closets, and dressers for storage and comfort. The bathrooms boast glass walk-in showers with sleek-looking tile and finishes. The kitchen has a large island, no shortage of counter or cabinet space, and brand-new appliances.
When you’re ready to get out and explore, you’re in the center of Golden’s best attractions with easy access to an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Golden has over 250 acres of parks within city limits and is nearby some of Colorado’s best hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, and more!

Golden City Suite: Room #2 (2nd floor of the building):
Enter building on the ground level and take the stairs up to the second floor to enter your suite. Golden City Suite sleeps 10 guests.

Guest Access:
Our guests will have full access to their reserved suite. Each suite is on the second floor of the building and requires you to use the common area stairs to reach your suite. In addition, we offer contactless check-in/check-out for maximum independence and privacy.
The Neighborhood:
Downtown Golden is the perfect home base for exploring the town and the Front Range. The area is full of heritage architecture and vibrant businesses. The location is incredibly walkable, with many top restaurants, bars, breweries, and shops within a 5-10 minute walk. Whether it’s an afternoon of shopping at the local boutiques, an evening out for a fine dinner, a day exploring historical sites, or playing in the area’s outdoor paradise, Golden has something for everyone!
Golden has a ton of charm. One of its most alluring features is its proximity to attractions such as Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, the Colorado School of Mines, adventures like Lookout Mountain, Lariat Loop, great hiking and climbing, and exploration in the Rockies. You’ll find coffee shops, restaurants, unique boutiques, and history lessons right outside your door!

Looking to recharge in the mountains? Hop onto I-70 to experience breathtaking hikes and views within an hour. One of Colorado's main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive a little over an hour through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing. Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder), or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience. We're also within a couple of hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain.
This location is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Golden and surrounding towns, the Rockies, and even Denver if you’re craving the hustle and bustle of the big city!
Getting Around:
The Rocky Mountains are to the West, and Denver is South of where you will be staying. I-70 West will take you into the mountains and straight to the ski areas, while you can hop on I-25 to access Fort Collins to the North and Colorado Springs to the South. The 36 takes you to Boulder and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park.
Downtown Golden is a highly walkable city. In addition to nearby Clear Creek Trails, Washington Avenue and the historic 12th Street neighborhood are great locations to stroll. A car is recommended if you will be exploring in the mountains. For those without a car, we recommend utilizing Uber or Lyft to reach further destinations in and around Golden. Get exploring!

- Quiet Hours from 10 PM - 8 AM. Any noise violations or complaints from neighbors could result in reservation cancellation with a monetary penalty.
- Additionally, an odor fee will be added to your reservation if smoking policies are violated. We appreciate your courtesy.
