Cozy Apartment On A Golf Course

Our apartment is on a quiet Golf Course in Denton, Tx! Denton is about 35 miles north of Dallas, 40 Miles north of Fort Worth, and 23 miles NW of Frisco, Tx. We're located fairly close to I35, which is the main hwy to get around DFW.

It’s on the 2nd floor up one flight of stairs.

Roadside Motel Experience...At Best!!
Other than our not having the smell of smoke in the apartment, our experience was similar to that reviewed by Taylor A. on Sept. 7, 2023. The online photos of the apartment don’t show many of the problem areas like the shag carpeting with multiple dark stains or many of the other types of issues we encountered with overall cleanliness and lack of any apparent desire to provide for a positive rental experience. There is a programmable thermostat so the room temperature kept resetting to something warmer than what we wanted it to be. Also, there were no instructions on what TV channels/provider we should use so after trying all the App’s on the TV I concluded there wasn’t ANY TV service other than the types of generally free internet TV channels nobody ever wants to watch. The VRBO listing photos and description feature the pool, fitness, and other community amenities. Yet when you rent, there’s not a word anywhere on where they are or how to access them. We were only provided a digital key on an app for the front apartment door lock… no codes or directions to access any other area. I wish I could upload my own pictures so could you could see what this place was really like. In my opinion, anybody that rates this as 5-star and says it’s clean, must be a fake reviewer or think a $39/night roadside Motor Inn is a Five-Star Hotel. And, you might want to look elsewhere if you're looking for a nice, clean place to stay. These owners don't care about the details...and it shows.

TRUMP 2020
To begin, entering in the place there is a giant TRUMP 2020 sign outside the window, which regardless of my political beliefs or there’s, that is unacceptable to push any opinion on someone who is unwilling. Furthermore, all the amenities listed were not provided to us or instructions on how to use these amenities making us believe guest do not have access to them even if they were there. There also was no toilet paper and we had to go out and grab our own. There were also several stains and random holes in the walls all of course not included in the photos on the website. There were no clear rules or regulations Apparently, there was some form of smoke detected in the apartment we were staying at because there was some form of smoke monitors within the establishment that we were not made aware of. We were contacted by the owner and gave us what she said was a warning and that she would notify Vrbo and process a cleaning fee if it persists. We happily agreed and respected her request (but, just to point this out it smelled HEAVILY, like cigarettes when we entered the apartment). We checked out on Sunday at 10 and no further communication occurred with the owner. Almost 3 days later, this woman reports us to Vrbo saying we “Continued after being asked to stop” and provided a graph from these detectors basically proving we did but we are still on the hook for an additional $350 for this place when we only paid $250 for the rental. DO NOT STAY HERE.

It was not wheelchair accessible up to the apartment. I had to sit on the steps and scoot up sit on the steps and scoot down. I was in a wheelchair. But other than that it was a lovely place.

Beautiful place to stay
It's a wonderful place to stay, small and cozy. It is exceptionally clean and has everything you need for your stay. Communication with the property owner is fantastic, responded fast, and will do everything, anything to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. I'll recommend staying here if you are in this area
