On the surface, this appeared to be a decent place. The main photo looked good: a pleasant villa next to rice paddies by the seaside. And if you've stayed at grubby hotels around the world, well this place is quite decent and well-priced. However, we're in Bali here, so you should do better.
Our "sea view" room had no such thing. In fact the wall facing towards the sea (which couldn't have spied the sea anyway) was completely windowless. The swimming pool looked sort-of-ok, except for the cigarette butts my child found floating in it. Suffice to say, we didn't swim.
There was a strange couple running the place, who weren't particularly friendly, at least not like the rest of Bali. There were scraps of food and bits of rubbish around, and a generally less-than-salubrious feeling. And let's not mention the room service. Avoid.
It's also completely out of the way of anything else, so you'll need a taxi or expensive transport to get you anywhere.
We did, however, have a lovely jaunt into Denpasar - Puputan park, and a delicious dinner in the city in the evening. Then at daybreak we moved quickly on.
