"This was a comfortable, cozy yet spacious and beautiful home away from home, in a quiet and picturesque neighborhood. It is in a central location, not too far from Edinburgh or Glasgow. "Had a wonderful stay at Elaine's super clean cottage. Elaine is lovely, such a kind host. The place was ideal for myself and my daughter, great location, quiet and peaceful, with parking right outside. The king bed in the master bedroom was perfect and the single bed in the other bedroom was also comfortable. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, which had great water pressure and plentiful hot water. Everything we needed to make a meal was included in the kitchen, plenty of cupboard space,...

"The apartment was just as grand as the photos show. Nothing was overlooked and all very grand and opulent. The hosts have thought of everything to a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of glasses and crockery etc. Probably not child friendly with steep stairs leading up to the property and lots of low level delicate stained glass windows and internal glass doors. "I can’t even begin to describe how perfect this estate is whether you’re a couple or a large party. There are enough rooms and beds and baths to accommodate all. Betty was very responsive. The estate is in an absolutely stunning setting. Everything was clean, perfectly laid out, and we had the best time here. I would return 1000 times if I could. "Thornhill Lodge was perfect for our family of 7 as a home base for exploration of the area. The house was spacious and comfortable and Ross was attentive to any problems/questions we had.
