"This is a fantastic property in a near perfect location (when its sunny!). Rooms and bathrooms are quite small and tend to get very humid even after a short shower. Property is also very difficult to get to if you are driving from the south and using google maps. Best to ask the hotel or drive to the north side of the city and drive in on the ocean side road. "

"The staffing and service was amazing, but the clarification of which building is which is very confusing. Please make sure to double check with staffing about which of the three buildings you can go to. Also make sure to get a email of your code or you might be a bit stranded. It was my first trip out of country though, so it can be my fault as well! "Loved the location! The windmills were directly across the water. The view was amazing. The room was extremely comfortable and it had a huge bathroom. Breakfast was included and was perfect for the morning. I loved how it came served on a tiered tray. This whole location is a must stay for anyone looking for a Netherlands experience. I will definitely stay here again."

"heb afgesproken met vrienden voor eten en drinken in Alkmaar en woon zelf ver weg. Dus 1 nacht verbleven. Dat is prima gegaan. Leuk is dat je nog duidelijk sporen ziet van de vorige bestemming van het gebouw. (Gevangenis) Alkmaar is trouwens ook wel een mooie stad om te bezoeken met traditionele panden en grachtjes."

"The property is not even close to its description. It was nosy when we arrived and cannot be seen as private as it is overlooked from close properties on all sides. It was dirty and the "beech art" clearly smelled of rotting. In summary this is not designed to be rented. I would give it zero stars if I ould "
