Luxury in the woods
This property is simply awesome!! We had a relaxing and comfortable stay. The place has all modern amenities. There are 2 mini-split AC/heat pumps in both the main area, and the master BR. We visited during an unusually hot week, but the AC kept us comfortable both during the day and at night. The 2 full baths are a great feature. Hot water is plentiful, since there is a propane tankless, on-demand hot water heater. It also has an EV charger and a propane standby generator in case power goes out. All in all, an excellent experience. Would highly recommend!

Great Mt Baker house!
We loved our stay in this quiet, comfortable house. We were happy to find that the wifi worked well, as we needed daily contact with an elderly parent. The location was great for our beautiful hikes in the Mt baker area, and we enjoyed the walk along the creek in the neighborhood! We'd love to stay here again!

Close to MT Baker, walking path along Canyon Creek
Upscale home in a rapidly growing development. Construction noise daytime hrs. View from deck is neighbor's house. Reported some issues with plumbing and dirty dishes that the property manager was very responsive to. (My cleaning deposit was to be refunded.) Good to use as a base if you'll be out hiking most of the day.

Mt Baker retreat
Overall this Chalet was a comfortable accommodation for our family. We really appreciated it's proximity to Mt Baker trails, streams, and rivers. The Beds were cozy and the upstairs bathroom had a jacuzzi tub with a lovely view out the window. We enjoyed eating our breakfasts outside on the large side porch. The Washer, dryer, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator were upscale however the icemaker didn't work. The kitchen sink had a leaking drain pipe with a bucket to catch the drip. We notified the rental agency about this condition and the slow drain in the upstairs bathroom after the 2nd day of our stay, however no one came to look at it while we were there. The carpets going up the stairs and in the loft area were visibly dirty. Having a broom handy would also help renters keep the chalet floor cleaner. Hopefully the rental agency will resolve these small issues for future clients.

Luxury house in quiet neighborhood with close access to hiking trails.
We loved coming back to this house after hiking trails every day! The showers were excellent - with good water pressure and a hot water heater that kept up with 4 showers in a row - and the towels were plush and cozy (and very white! no dingy, thin towels here). The kitchen was well stocked with good quality baking sheets and frying pans, and the refrigerator was very large. Also - a small thing - but we really appreciated the brand new dish sponge. :-) The whole house was very clean and had plenty of extra supplies (toilet paper, trash bags, etc.). The WiFi did cut out a couple times, but re-booting instructions were easy to follow.

Great house, property mgmt not so much
The house was very nice. Large open concept house with ceiling fan and well stocked kitchen and grill that made cooking very easy (though salt & pepper the only staples supplied). Comfy master bd with master suite. The house looked close to the road on the map, but in fact was very quiet. The house is 5 mins away from a lovely bakery/cafe, and a couple of restaurants. The deck looked over another house very nearby so it wasn't quite as inviting as we would have liked, but at least the other house had no windows on that side. Still, someone should plant some arborvitaes there. The kitchen sink needs a plumber as there is a bucket of smelly water under the sink. That should get repaired. Some light bulbs need replacing and the blender was broken but they had a food processor. I don't think the house has streaming service (and no cable or satellite) so bring your own Roku or equivalent. The property management service was poor. They never answered emails, and you had to leave multiple voicemails over multiple days to get anyone to call you back. Hopefully they are more responsive to emergencies, though none ever came up for us. Perhaps they are understaffed due to COVID? One thing I hadn't appreciated until we got there is that the snow lingers on the north side of the mountain, so summer hiking options are a bit limited in July. Better to come in August or September when more snow has melted. Still, it is a very lovely area!

Relaxing vacation
The Chalet is set-up with most everything you would need to enjoy a relaxing time. Kitchen has basic utensils, pots and pans as one would expect for a rental cabin. The washer and dryer are a nice bonus even thought we didn't need them. The best part for us is being a pet friendly location. Thanks for our stay.

Quiet Fall visit
The house is very comfortable and there was plenty of space for just my husband, our dog, and myself. I loved the kitchen and appreciated that they had an actual tea kettle. We found the short trail at the river which is just down the street from the house. The house is in a good location to visit the Mountain. We went to the end of Mt Baker Hwy to see Artists Point and then up USFS road 39 to Mt Baker Vista and the Heliotrope trail head. The views are outstanding.

Great place—possible bears
We ventured to Glacier for a ski weekend at Mt Baker and found this awesome home only 30 minutes from the mountain. Reference Appendix A for full Pro/Con list. Appendix A Pros: -Warm feet, no slippers needed -Rad Bluetooth speaker -Plenty of room in kitchen for activities (ex. Cooking) -Fireplace very intuitive -Diverse collection of DVDs (however, too scared to watch any of them) -Great board games: Scrabble, Cranium (bring your own clay), and almost a whole deck of cards -Furnishings very nice, but the light above the kitchen table was weird -Great forest views, however slightly obstructed by neighboring trees -Anticipate spending an additional $800+ on a new bed after staying here—your bed will no longer be adequate -Affordable hair cuts 3 miles down the road -No sign of former cattle usage dispite obvious indications from barn roof architecture Cons: -WiFi did not work, router may require serious debugging -Not a ski-in, ski-out cabin (door was slightly misaligned with staircase) -Hard to fit four people in the upstairs hot-tub -T.V USB input not intuitive (4 engineers were unable to figure this out) -Front left burner of the stove didn’t work very well, cooked eggs for 45 minutes -Woke up Sunday morning to every clock in house 1 hour off -Wizard staff was plastic
