Its a great place. The Haveli has been lovingly restored and is amazing. So many interesting features to find. Roof terrace and restaurant are little havens after a day in Dehli. Food in restaurant in the evening is great: have the taster menu: you wont regret it. Its on a little back street in Old Dehli. In fact heritage road is quite quaint in its way. I didnt feel unsafe. It is in walking distance of Red Fort and main mosque, and plentiful access to rickshaws. Uber is your friend too. So well located in that respect. Old Dehli is very deprived. If you are not expecting a certain squalor to the area then you may not feel comfortable. The walk to the Red Fort will open your eyes and your nostrils! But. Its real life Dehli and that is a valuable experience. Going back to the Haveli is a perfect sanctuary at end of day. We did a day in New Delhi too. I understood Connaught Square is a common place for western hotels. Tbh I didnt like it and Im pleased we stayed where we did. Cant emphasise enough how great this hotel is in terms of sanctuary, history, food and experience. But if you arnt comfortable walking through the surrounding poverty its probably not for you. And maybe give Dehli a miss!

This hotel is an oasis in the crowded, but exciting old delhi. You can’t drive all the way to to the hotel. Taxis/ubers/rickshaws took me to the train station down the alley and hotel staff came to meet me to assist with my bags when needed. Kite flying/drinks/sunset/views every evening from the rooftop. Great meals with live music and dancing at dinner. Delicious breakfast. Great staff. Highly recommend.

Tricky one to review. The pros are that it’s a wonderful heritage building, an oasis of calm surrounded my the hectic streets of Old Delhi. Not for everyone as no car access and not everyone would want to stay in this part of Delhi, but we found it the perfect way to explore the main sights and backstreets! The cons are it’s very expensive for what it is, limited facilities, average and overpriced food, issues with noise as other reviews have highlighted. I also found the staff to be pushy, felt like they are working for tips rather than being genuinely helpful which should be the case given the already high price tag. We also saw a rat in the restaurant and staff just ignored it and moved us outside, presumably to not alert other diners. Such a shame as otherwise the place was very clean - clearly rats will be around the area but wouldn’t expect them to be in the restaurant of a luxury hotel full of paying customers! However, overall I WOULD recommend this place as somewhere unique and beautiful to explore Old Delhi, it was the best way to experience it and I’d stay again!

The hotel has been beautifully restored, but reaching the hotel is via a narrow walkway by foot in Old Delhi. Porters were very helpful taking our luggage when checking-out to the nearest road for a taxi pick-up. Staff also helped in arranging a taxi.

The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful and nice, but the area is terrible and noisy. Old delhi is not a hood place for you to get hotel there. So not going to recommend this place because of the area around this hotel.

My stay here was very nice.. I am a sol female traveller. Everyone was very helpful especially Mr. Roshan.. he checked me in and I was welcomed very very warmly.. I was nervous travelling alone especially because it was Old Delhi but when I met the shuttle driver and then Mr Roshan and other staff who brought me to the hotel I felt very safe. Morning breakfast is very good and staff are very helpful. There are senior staff that are not very kind or warm but that does not affect my experience. My room was in Golden HAVELI-Jahan Ara.. if you are a light sleeper I don’t recommend this room. It is on top of the Galli.. the only quiet time is between 11pm-4am.. otherwise room was very nice. My heritage walk tour with Gaurav was also memorable. Very knowledgeable and patient tour guide. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Haveli Dharampura: A Unique Experience Steeped in Heritage, with a Few Caveats Haveli Dharampura offers a truly immersive heritage experience, transporting you to the heart of Old Delhi's bustling streets. However, the journey to reach this haven is an adventure in itself. The closest transportation drops you off about 200 meters away, requiring a walk through narrow, winding alleys. The hotel itself exudes charm and character, but certain aspects left me wanting. The breakfast spread was disappointingly limited, lacking variety and failing to impress. Additionally, the room I stayed in was plagued by flies, especially at night. While this may be unavoidable in such a location, it did detract from the overall comfort. Despite these drawbacks, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel's unique architecture and ambiance offered a glimpse into the past, making it a truly memorable experience. However, it's important to note that the property is not disabled-friendly, with high stairs and narrow passageways posing significant challenges for those with mobility issues. Overall, Haveli Dharampura is a captivating experience for those seeking an authentic taste of Old Delhi's heritage.
