We are from lower Alabama, the gulf coast is our main area - we came to WV to ride the Hatfield McCoy trails and WV did not disappoint. The trails were amazing - for both single track and 4-wheeler! Our host was very gracious and helped us on our fist day when we had a slight emergency and was quick to help with any questions. We all have passed on rave reviews for the location and the trails!
Mrs. Lynn has a beautiful home that is in the perfect location for My family to enjoy riding the Hatfield and McCoy trail system we will defectively be booking with her again
It was so nice to be up in the hills as compared to the ATV cabins, we drove past. Quieter, probably a bit cooler and right near the trails. Beds are all very comfy and plenty of bathroom space. We had a fabulous time!!
The property was perfect for our group of four. It's very peaceful and comes with It's own guard dog. He was very friendly and had good manners. We loved it and had a great time!!
The Rock House Retreat was a great place to stay while we visited the HM trails. Lynn made it easy to check in, the house was clean when we arrived and the stay was very comfortable. It was also close to Delbarton, so we got to know the locals who were very kind and helpful, it's also close to trail 14 Trail Head which is nice and convenient.
Lynn’s cabin is absolutely gorgeous. Very clean and perfect location. She was very kind and answered all of our questions and was very accommodating. Thank you Lynn!
The pictures do not do this place justice! It is cute as can be with an awesome location right off the HM trails. If you are considering visiting the area, do yourself a favor and book Lynn’s place, you won’t regret it!
We planned a trip for Thanksgiving weekend. The experience was top notch- very clean. The property manager was extremely helpful; she provided excellent communication even with our arrival on Thanksgiving day. We would recommend staying at this establishment.
Property was great for our group of 8 guys. The cabin was very clean and ample parking for our 3 trucks and a 17' trailer. Nice to have all the amenities, covered porch, fire pit with wood and a nice grill to cook. Highly recommend this place and will keep this on our list for future stays.
This property was exactly what the listing says. Everything was clean and tidy. Everything you need is on site and in working order. Best of all the site in just minutes from the trails and stores. Had a great stay and definitely recommend to all riders looking for a nice place to stay.
Rockhouse hillside retreat was the perfect basecamp for a weekend of wheeling on the Hatfield McCoy trails. The house and accommodations are accurately depicted in the listing. Lynn was a delight to communicate with. Thanks again for the stellar hospitality!
Had everything we needed for an extended weekend of riding the HM trails. Very clean, comfortable and quiet but not far to Buffalo Mountain trail access and gas station. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit each evening. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. We’ve stayed many places in the HM system over the last several years and this house is one of the nicest we’ve seen. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Thank you for allowing us to stay!
We loved the location of the house and that we were mostly secluded. It was close to the trails. The house was clean and cute. We loved that it had a washer and dryer. The host was very responsive. We had plenty of room for parking. We have no complaints! We will stay here again in the future.
Beautiful home. Well equipped with everything you need to have a good stay. Beds were the most comfortable I’ve slept on when renting a home. Owner communications we’re excellent! I’m sure we will be staying here again! Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The house was amazing was clean and fully stocked with all we needed for the weekend. Parking was good. Only thing is if you got a great big trailer would be tough to get in and out. But other than that everything was great. Definitely recommend staying there. I know we will be again soon.
We stayed for a week and road the Hatfield & McCoy trails. Neighborhood is quiet and the house was setup great for what we were doing. If you have a truck and a long heavy trailer that you can not spin around by hand you will have a difficult time getting it turned around. We unloaded the machines and spun our two-place aluminum trailer around by hand and tucked it next to the house so it was not a problem for us. Lynn responded right away to a couple of questions and was great to deal with.
Everything was good. The host was responsive when we had questions or needed something. There is a hill so if you are pullong a trailer bigger than 25ft you might have an issue. There were several dirty dishes in the cupboards, but we just washed everything before we used them. Over all the place is great. The neighbor has 4 dogs that were very friendly and protected us.
