"Lovely hotel, old feel. Dinner of soup salad and bread included, as well as breakfast. Walking distance to train and beautiful Kalmar Castle. Food was great, room lovely. Staff made all the difference—lovely and welcoming. This hotel is a gem!"

"The pictures do not do it justice. If you are from North America this will give you the ultimate cozy Scandinavian vibe. The lighting, candles even during breakfast, and room decor was such a welcome in the cold rainy days in October. It was bare bones with no conditioner, shampoo, hair dryer but still simple, cozy with warm people working there. The beautiful library is across the street and great to see. So quick and easy to the downtown centre. Centrally located. We loved our stay!!"

"This property suited our needs for an overnight stay. Parking was easy and convenient. They offered a breakfast buffet in the morning that was nice. The room was clean, as was the property. We never interacted with anyone, so if we had any questions, it might have been difficult. The area around the hotel seemed commercial, but we were just there for an overnight stay for nearby visit. "

"I stayed here for Ironman Kalmar and cannot recommend it enough. I changed my travel plans last minute to arrive a day early and stay in a different local hotel. I asked if early check-in would be possible as I had to vacate the first place by 11am, and the receptionist was so friendly and helpful in putting a note on my reservation, and then letting me know the next morning I could check in before 11 because a room was ready. The breakfast was phenomenal. They opened up at 4am on race morning and had everything I thought I needed plus more. (Fruit smoothie, ginger juice shot with chili, pancakes with real maple syrup, so many different breads, meats, cheese, fruit, salads etc. in addition to your typical breakfast.) Finally, checkout the day after the race was delayed 2 hours, which I've never experienced at any other race, but which would've been much appreciated had I not opted to stay an extra day (specifically to avoid having to pack up and be out by 10:30am)."

"These were hands down the most comfortable beds and pillows we've experienced on this trip to Europe, and the trip included stays at three Hiltons and several other Hilton properties. Breakfast at FH Witt is also slightly better than at some/most Euro Hiltons. Not way better, good variety but exceptional quality. Room service was amazing. Dozens of good-quality restaurants within 5 blocks. Parking is extremely easy, we parked right in front of the entrance for a few euros every evening. Drawbacks: No air conditioning, room gets hot even with windows open when it's 23 °C outside. Shower spews water everywhere in the bathroom. Towels are small and few. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner within the hotel, although they'll gladly pour you a beer or several. In all, lacking a Hilton property in Kalmar, this is as close as it gets with the only material downgrade being lack of air conditioning! Airline crews flying into/out of KLR stay here. So... it's good."
