A perfect family getaway
This is such a relaxing space to unwind and enjoy quality time! A spacious cabin that allowed for dogs, a 2 year old and 4 adults to be together. The low windows were so awesome for the dogs to watch the lake! Very clean and well stocked cabin, close to fun local spots.

Wonderful Up North Experience
We stayed on Serpent Lake for two weeks. The cabin was plenty roomy for 4 adults plus a baby. Kitchen was pretty new and well supplied. Owners provided lots of bath towels (but not beach towels, bring your own.) There were also cleaning supplies, dishwasher detergent, paper towels and toilet paper. That's a plus. Both bathrooms are modern and roomy. The showers are large, and you get plenty of hot water. There was a large washer and dryer which we put to good use. There is a long dock that we could fish from, also a fire pit with a wood pile behind the house. Great for s'mores after dinner. Crosby has a cute downtown with restaurants, shops and bars. The owners recommended a few which turned out to be great choices. Both downtown Crosby and Deerwood are within easy biking distance. Deerwood is about a 2-mile walk on residential roads. Overall, we had a great family vacation. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Spacious Home on Serpent Lake near Cuyuna
The property is just a a few miles from downtown Crosby and from Cuyuna Regional Park. The property is spacious both inside and out. It is updated and clean. While not needed for us, it appears wheelchair friendly as well. The living and dining rooms can accommodate a good sized group. Serpent Lake is a really nice lake for boating and fishing. We had a small overlap with the cleaner and she was really friendly.

Great place to stay!
Such a lovely place - gorgeous lake views, comfortable surroundings. The house is had lots of space and is well equipped - both with household items, lake items, and random groceries that were left behind by previous guests! Amy was a great host, very communicative and helpful if I had questions. One thing to note: the listing has some inaccuracies (I suspect this is a VRBO issue more than a host issue in some cases) - the check out time was incorrect, as well as a few items that were listed that would be available which were not. It wasn't a crisis or anything. (The kayak had disappeared recently, and there is a TV but no cable or antenna, etc) We really loved this space and would return if the opportunity presents itself!

Good Family Cabin Getaway
Cabin layout was nice and open. Newer appliances and finishes. Very bright for morning sunrises. Lot was nice and flat to the dock. Did not wade in water at dock looked a little weedy, but boated over to Crosby Memorial Park where mostly sand with some fist sized rocks. Water is clear and not a lot of boating traffic at all even for the weekend. A lot of frogs and even seen a stick bug. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good time. We may be back.

The house and lake are nice. Fishing was good! We had two nice walleye dinners. I would have gave this place 5 stars if the beds were comfortable. Thanks for sharing this home with us. We had a great time.

What a fantastic home for a perfect summer getaway. Our host, Amy, was excellent in responding to any need. Highly recommend as location is great for both enjoying the water and the nearby Cuyuna bike trails.

We had a great week at this cabin with our kids and grandkids. Home was very clean and well supplied. The main living area was bright, wide-open and looked at the lake. Lake was clear, with little boat activity and lots of fish. Home owner was very responsive to all of our questions. Highly recommend

Great relaxing time over Memorial Day Weekend.
I stayed with 5 other friends over Memorial Day weekend, and we had a great time. The cabin fit all of us comfortably with lots of space to visit, and had a nice large flat yard with a fire pit facing the lake. The dock seemed brand new and held our two boats easily. Amy was great with communication, and everything went perfectly. Great lake for boating and fishing too! I would recommend!!

Great Stay! So Relaxing.
We stayed over Labor Day weekend and were so happy. The lake wasn't super busy and it was so quiet. The cabin was very clean and they had everything we needed to stay - including charcoal for the grill. The yard was really big and there was plenty of parking. We'll stay again!

Nice getaway
This is just what we were looking for, a beautiful, flat property with a place to dock our boat. It is dog and kid friendly. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and bonfires by the lake. The lake is very clean and clear, great for swimming! The property has a paddle board which we very much enjoyed. The house is newly renovated and we loved how much open space it provided. Only downside was that the cable and dvd options were unavailable for rainy days. It was also missing some basics such as hand soap and garbage bags but overall a great place to stay. It’s located very close to Deerwood and Crosby and we frequented both by boat and car. The public access in Crosby is great and next to a wonderful playground. Resturants, bike trails, shopping, ice cream and groceries are all within a few miles. We enjoyed our stay.

We have been staying in lakeside properties to visit our son and family for the last 10 years. This was the best! Location, lake, fishing, size of house. Our family loved using the paddle board and canoe. The loons were the extra touch. We hope to be able to stay again next year.

Great cabin on the lake!
My family and I rented the cabin for a week in August of 2022, 7 adults in total. We had a great stay on Serpent lake. Amy (the host) was super accommodating and the cabin was super clean. The yard is great for kids, games, and cool outs. The fire pit by the lake was great at sundown! The lake itself is very very clear water, it does have a significant amount of weeds in the whole lake but it is super clear and enough clear area by the lake to wade and play games in. The lake was excellent fishing and produced tons of pan fish off the dock, as well as a couple monster bass and a bunch of pike! We will definitely stay here again if we visit the area again!
