LAKE CABIN - TIMELESS BEAUTY Nestled 15' Feet Away from Water On 150' Peninsula

This family friendly log cabin is situated on a 150' point of land extending into Deepwoods Lake with a small island off the end. The cabin is a unique as the lake wraps around the cabin on both the eastern and western sides. The lake is only 15' away from the cabin windows and always a lake breeze rolling across the peninsula and cabin. The swimming and fishing are excellent with clean water in the lake with loons and eagles, chipmunks, and hummingbirds.
Step inside and feel welcome and happy. Kids play board games, fish, find frogs and be children. Dogs fetch sticks and swim. It's like going back in time but IN STYLE! The property offers privacy with no close neighbors. It is more rustic rather than a resort.
The cabin is picturesque among 100 year old pines and the lake can be enjoyed from any room of the cabin. Both sides of the point are great for fishing and the west side is preferred for swimming with bigger pier (16x8) and swim raft. We provide canoe and row boat.
THE CABIN offers flexible sleeping spaces. It has one queen bedroom; a "breezeway" enclosed porch with a full/twin log bunkbed & another twin bed including a sink. The living room also has a full size futon.
The cabin's kitchen has refrigerator, stove, microwave and double sink.
The dining room/living room has a gas fireplace.
The cabin is log and the floors are hardwood with braided rugs. Has WiFi.
THE BUNKHOUSE offers a full/twin bunkbed, shower and sink. The bunkhouse is a simpler space, offers a quiet retreat at the end of the day for an individual or couple to enjoy solitude and privacy separate from the cabin. The bunkhouse is only 15 steps away from the cabin and has a lake view.

Student Organization Officer Retreat
We loved how picturesque the property and cabin were, and the easy access to the lake. There was a raft, tubes, and a canoe that we took advantage of as well as a fire pit and rope swing. Overall a really beautiful place.

Love this place!
This was our second year at the cabin and it did not disappoint. What a great place to rest and relax for a week. We particularly enjoyed the free firewood this year! Thank you for such a great place to stay!

The views were beautiful.excellent location fishing was ok. Would have been nice to have usable water for drinking or cooking just to know ahead of time about the water quality would have been a plus,but we did enjoy the stay and the property would definitely go back

Beautiful, quaint property. Cabin has rich character!
Overall this property is perfect for a getaway up north. Two great piers for fishing. Canoes and a row boat for water activities. Wish I had a week to stay here!

Absolutely beautiful!
This place was better than in the pictures. Had an amazing time on the property that provided a range of outdoor activities. For us the views were amazing especially given the time of year with all the tree colors. The owner is amazing and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get off the grid and just relaxing.

This property is our heaven on earth! The fishing was great, even with 2 rainy days we still enjoyed these outdoors. The 100 year old white pines provided enough shelter even sit outside protected from the rain. I feel like part of the family enjoying the family pictures and homey feel this cabin provides. We brought everything we needed so we didn’t need to leave at all! We were all sad to leave. Can’t wait til the next time!

This cabin is just perfect. It has been years since we stayed here but it never left our heart. We have created some great memories with our family in this little piece of paradise. The sunrise is awesome! We love the loons and fishing for bluegills off the docks. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming.

Simply the best
We desperately needed a getaway and got so much more than we even could have dreamed. This place allows a family to unplug, unwind and slowdown all while taking advantage of as much outdoor activity as you can handle. The location on the lake and the house itself has more charm than any we have stayed in. We will absolutely be back.

Wonderful time with family
We enjoyed the simple living, a change up from camping, and unusual in its quiet location. Perfect for 7 and 10 year old grandkids. And the dogs. Terrific swimming. Although the peninsula is small, it is private, and features many sit spots besides the cabin itself - there is the "living room" area of comfy seats by the dock, the fire circle with plenty of wood, and smaller spaces on the "other dock", hammock, and benches.

Wonderful old school cabin getaway
The property is as described, and just like the photos. We love the old-school charm of the cabin and property! We enjoy beautiful, sunrises and sunsets off the docks. We had fun fishing for bluegills near some submerged trees in a variety of places around the lake. Late night campfires by the waters edge was a huge bonus. Our kids loved exploring the woods, swimming in the water, and had fun playing in the bunkhouse! Would definitely stay again, and the hosts are very responsive and take care of the property. We had a very pleasant stay.

Timeless Beauty
My husband and I stayed up at this cabin for a week, our kids and young grandkids came up at different times. The cabin was absolutely wonderful!! There are a few different areas to gather all around the cabin. We swam, fished and went out on the canoe. The little kids had so much fun catching blue gills. Everyone had so much fun! We will definitely go back.

Water was not potable. Oven did not work. Fireplace did not work. Out house only was not very well advertised. No TV or radio. Kitchen sink water drains into lake, probably the shower water as well. Electrical wiring runs within 5 inches of gas burners on stove top so you can only use the top two burners away from the wall. Mouse turds in the silverware drawer......

WOW.! What an amazing property with a authentic original log cabin. It felt homie,warm & very welcoming. Out side is so amazing. I loved walking the path between the 2 trees barefoot. We took the boats out, fished,bass & others. Swam to the raft. Campfire every day. Watched 2 big snapping turtles fighting in the water by rope swing. Yep did that too. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful peaceful family heirloom built by hand with love & you certainly can feel it created something magical for our family vacation. Quiet beauty and reflection
Our vacation at Deerbrook was thoroughly enjoyable. This was the first get away since Covid started and we were dying to away. It would be interesting to know the history of the place. What a unique property and gorgeous setting for a picture perfect log cabin! We spent most of our time sitting on the lake front area enjoying the view, the gentle breezes and the perfect reflections in the mirrored water. We swam everyday and enjoyed absolutely no weeds! There are some things that could stand improvement.. The inside and outside furniture cushions have seen better days and the professional cleaners need to up their game. Otherwise……this is an amazing place to visit! Thank you for sharing this gem with us! Michael and John

Family vacation
We had a wonderful relaxing time with family at the cabin. There were 6 adults , 2 toddlers and 2 babies. I wouldn’t fit anymore people than that. It had all the comforts of home, all we brought was food and water. It is very peaceful in the morning and at night. Very quiet lake with very little boat action. We were amazed with the little “gifts” the birds left on the dock every morning and scrubbing it became a morning ritual. The lake water is warm and clear, no weeds, great for swimming. We caught frogs in the pond across the street and found a large painter turtle hanging out in the bushes. Caught a ton of bluegill off the dock. If you are looking for a 5star hotel and spa this is not the place. If you are looking for a relaxing place to make memories with family and enjoy the outdoors this cabin is for you!

Excellent, historical cabin with many modern amenities
This cabin is amazing! The property was perfect for myself and 4 children & 2 dogs! The fishing was great! The water was great for kids to swim. The row boat was so fun, and the canoe was a big success for us. We cooked over the fire every meal. The kitchen is small. But perfect for all our needs. The outhouse was no problem for us. The water in the cabin was perfect. My five year old called the bunkhouse the bird house because it was just cute. We never used the shower due to the short stay- but glad it was there for next time. Yes! There will be a next time! I wish I would have brought my computer so I could have worked from the cabin and extended our stay! The internet was super fast. The loons waking us in the morning was absolutely amazing! Everything was so perfect! The best vacation I have had in years & we only left the property to grab bait! Thank you so much for renting this cabin out! Memories to last a lifetime!

Weekend up North
It is a cute, cozy cabin. Beds were comfy. Obviously loved by a family for many years and now shared with the public. Very close to the water which was nice. Very private and secluded. No towns very close (that we found), meaning few restaurants, bars, bakeries, etc. We saw eagle, loon, but not a lot. Fishing from the dock was fun, we caught several. Scenery was beautiful.

Lake cabin peace
The cabin was incredible, like stepping back in time. You can see the love and craftsmanship put into building this cabin. The decorations and pictures show the joy this cabin brings, which it did for our family as well. We had a group of 7 adults and there was sleeping space for everyone. In addition, the seating outside is amazing! There are so many chairs, benches, docks and places to sit alone or together. My kids fished off of one dock for part of the day, then would move over to the other dock and jump in the lake to swim. The swimming area is wonderful. It is a deep, cool area with no weeds or structure. The swimming pad was so fun to hang out on, we had many laughs. Because we were there in September, there was almost nobody else on the lake, it was so incredible. All the dishes and cooking spices, grilling supplies were provided. We really just needed to bring food and clothes because everything else was there for us to use. The weather was unusually hot for September, however, the cabin is completely shaded by trees and when you open the windows there is a lovely cross breeze that blows in from the lake. It never felt hot or stuffy there. This was a successful family vacation with so many happy memories. Thank you for sharing this beautiful cabin and lake with us.

Amazing location!
We had an amazing time- perfect for a rustic getaway. Truly beautiful. The kids went wild for a week, we grilled on the patio and at at the picnic table every night. Swam to the island. Quiet nights, lots of privacy.
