"The location of this hotel is excellent, in the centre of the city and in walking distance of all that Oxford offers. The room was comfortable but getting a bit shabby. The bedside cabinet prevented access to the wardrobe and there was a ventilator cover hanging loose. But the staff were helpful and the room was a good size with a nice view of Balliol. "

"Lovely room even though could do with updating but it suited my needs, comfy beds and crisp bedding just what I needed whilst my husband was in surgery at John Radcliffe, nice friendly staff too. Would definitely stay again."

"The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The accommodation was a little tired in places a reflection of a very old building. The breakfast was ok, although a little tasteless. "

"Outside of building misleading. Inside is clean and light. Our double ensuite had a view over the street, was clean and well equipped. Lots of hot water, radiators that can be adjusted, comfortable bed, tea making facilities. Very happy considering the price we paid. Breakfast was ok. Only issue is parking. We were lucky to get a place outside. Also major roadworks on route into town. But overall very good value for money. "

"My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We got the third level room and it was nice and served its purpose. My only complaint with the room was that the bathroom absolutely reeked of mold. Other than that, the location was great, very walkable, and we enjoyed our stay (other than the terrible mold smell). "

"Love the simplicity of the process from checking in to checking out. Friendly staff. Clean bathroom, bedding and space. 10-15 min walk to nearby food places and less than 5 minutes to an excellent Indian takeaway and convenience store."
