Welcome to Thunder Ridge, an amazing 4 BR, 5-BA vacation cabin with a private studio/game room - sleep up to 18 guests! Awesome great room with stone fireplace, 70” Smart TV, & great flow to the dining area & extremely well-appointed kitchen. We are across from the Deadwood Gulch Casino, the Mickelson Trail, & a short trolley ride to Downtown Deadwood. The studio has a private entrance, a kitchenette, pool table, 70” TV & more. Great location close to the Hills & the excitement of Deadwood.

The cabin is it just 7 miles away from the Terry Peak Ski Area and is just minutes away to world class snowmobile trails in the winter and ATV trails in the summer. The famous Mickelson Trail is across the road, so hop on your bike or slip on your trail shoes and take in the beauty of "The Mick". You are also just a short walk to the Deadwood Gulch Resort and Casino, with restaurants, gaming, and a Deadwood Trolley stop all less than 1000 yards away. If your ideal vacation is full of relaxation or full of get up and go, Thunder Ridge has you covered either way.

Thunder Ridge is easy to get to, but hard to leave, so book your stay today and come enjoy all that Deadwood and the Northern Black Hills has to offer!

~ This driveway has a fairly steep grade (roughly 10%). If you are traveling in winter, 4-wheel drive is required. If you are pulling a trailer of any kind, 4-wheel drive is recommended during any season because of the grade. There is some gravel on this driveway, motorcycle drivers should use caution.
~ This is the Black Hills of South Dakota, so be prepared to see wildlife outside. Make sure all doors or screens are kept shut to keep them outside.
~ We will not override our cancellation policy due to weather. This also includes lack of snow for skiing & snowmobiling, or too much rain causing muddy ATV/UTV trails. We have tried everything in our power to control the weather, but apparently there is not an app for that yet. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance during the checkout process during booking. Travel insurance can also be purchased after booking from 3rd party Insurors - just search for "Vacation Rental Travel Insurance" and you will find several companies offering this type of travel insurance.

Four couples booked for bonus time around a wedding. So much better than a hotel! Lovely property with the perfect mix of common and private space (each bedroom having its own bathroom was a big plus). Location was great - walk to Deadwood.

We had a great stay at Thunder Ridge! The house has a great location that allowed for walking into Deadwood, easy access to the Mickelson trail and a trolley stop right up front. Highly recommend!

The overall stay was great. The property is beautiful, the kitchen is very well stocked with cooking supplies, tons of extra linens in the bedrooms, extra gas for the grill and chairs on the decks.

Family vacation for 4 generations
Awesome stay no matter the age! Room for kids to play. The location was a plus, and being up on a hill made for great views. The family has voted this home as the best one we've stayed at yet.

Very Comfortable Cabin in a good location
The property is ideal for large groups of 8 to 10 people or more. The communication with the property manager was good. The property was clean, comfortable and well stocked in a pleasant wooded area. We saw lots of deer from the front porch. We would definitely recommend this property.

Very nice house and overview of Deadwood. House was very nice, and manager was easy to get a hold of. Driveway is tricky when slick, do not pull a trailer up there with snowpack on the driveway.

Beautiful rental with a stunning view
The Lodge was very tastefully decorated, clean, and located in a quiet area but within close proximity to downtown Deadwood. Every room was spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware and appliances. Mark, the property manager, provided excellent customer service to ensure that every expectation we had with regard to lodging accommodations was met. The Lodge was a perfect gathering place for our family Christmas vacation.

A Great Place to Stay in the Hills
We loved our stay at Thunder Ridge. The house - spacious and well maintained - was perfect for our extended family. Each little family had a bedroom and their own bath. The furnishings are aesthetically pleasing but still kid friendly. In other words - very comfortable. Loved the location, accessible to Deadwood but away from the main congestion. If ever in the Hills, we will stay there again.

Great location
The house is in a great location to catch the trolley and do all the fun of downtown Deadwood and yet it's private and you could stay up there and enjoy your time as well. Mark the manager responded very quickly with any questions or issues we had. The house was clean and easy to find. Driveway is quite steep but still negotiable.

What an amazing cabin. First trip out for the bike rally. Great location in Deadwood. Absolutely nothing lacking in this cabin. Will definitely book again. The only negative I can say is the gravel driveway. It can be a little sketchy on motorcycles.
