Rustic at Best
After driving down a two track driveway with very overgrown evergreen trees scratching our vehicle every inch of the way , we arrived to a very cute but musty smelling cabin. My husband had his boat with him and there was no way it could have made it down the driveway, with no place to turn around. The very small shower was an adventure to say the least. It was very cramped and the shower curtain was too short and water would get all over the floor. If you put a rug there, you couldn’t open or shut the door. Also, there were only 2 towels and 2 wash clothes a piece for 6 days. The beds were not comfortable. It happened to be in the 90s the whole time we were there and there were flannel sheets on the bed! Not only that, both beds are on plywood platforms with no box springs, just mattresses. They were very high and with no step stool provided, it was impossible for me to get into the bed. I am NOT exaggerating! Some suggestions for improvement......trim some trees (the 2 Adirondack chairs in the picture could not even be reached), fans, more towels and some towel racks and a step stool for the beds. This little cabin has a lot of potential but it’s not even close to being reached.

The cottage was clean and neat, beds were comfortable, and the secluded location was wonderful. We loved the porch and the view from the beachfront was gorgeous. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Absolutely wonderful! Rustic location! Loved hearing the waves at night! Very homey, neat, clean.
The cabin was homey, spotless, close to the water in a very natural setting! Everything was provided except food! Beautiful area! The only suggestion we would have is a handrail on the front steps to help mobility impaired. TY

Perfect getaway
We went to the cabin for our 1st wedding anniversary. Our original travel plans were canceled due to COVID-19, so we went to De Tour Village for a the perfect place to practice social distancing. Perfectly quiet and relaxing.

Cozy cabin with gorgeous lake views
Our family very much enjoyed our stay in this quaint cabin. While we underestimated the chilliness of Lake Huron even in the summer, we enjoyed the beach and woods on the property. The property is well maintained and had everything we required; both the owner and cabin keeper are very friendly. Be sure to bring desired food items with you; the local grocer in De Tour Village is handy, but limited in offerings.

Great little place in a beautiful setting.
Nice place on the water. Too bad it was October and too cold to spend much time on the beach deck.

A perfect rustic retreat
If sitting on the beach while looking at beautiful Lake Huron and reading a good book appeals to you, then this is the place. The property was very clean and had the essentials needed for a relaxing visit. The deck overlooked the lake and we were only a few feet from the beach. Drummond Island is nearby and a restaurant at the Les Cheneaux Culinary School was excellent.

Cabin in the woods
The caretaker and owner were prompt with responses to our questions. There were some issues. The beds are on wooden platforms with no box springs so the beds were extremely hard. We all had trouble sleeping. The driveway is very narrow and not hospitable to trailers. Our truck and side-by-side trailer suffered severe scratching. There is not a Smart TV, but the owner said she would remedy that in the future. I burned my hand on the front of the oven on an area that should not be hot, but the owner dismissed my concern for future visitors. The wildflowers on the property are beautiful and the view from the beach is beautiful. The flower bouquets inside were very welcoming. The assortment of dishes were very satisfactory. The owner left coloring books and crayons for my son which was very nice. The house was clean and welcoming. There is a wood stove with fire starter supplies. We didn't use it because it was quite warm while we were there. The wifi was good and the property also has excellent cell phone reception.
