This condo is in a great location with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. For even more excitement and entertainment, travel less than three miles north and find yourself in the heart of Daytona Beach with countless shops, bars, and restaurants, as well as the Daytona Beach Boardwalk, the Joyland Amusement Center, and Daytona Lagoon, a family-friendly water park. Surf's up in Ponce Inlet, just seven miles south! Along with incredible waves, Ponce Inlet is best known for Florida's tallest lighthouse and a marine science center with interactive exhibits, a boardwalk, an observation tower, and nature trails.

Overall our stay was great. Perfect little studio condo with balcony overlooking the beach. Comfy king bed and just about everything you need in a beachfront room including great working AC. No cable option but smart tv with certain services. Outdoor pool is massive and includes a cool tiki bar service.

Spring Break Trip
I loved the cleanliness of the room, how the provide most of everything you need (except an airbag pump) which is not a big deal for us but may be helpful for the next person. Beautiful view and when I did have to call for assistance there wasn't a long wait, they were very nice and very helpful. My family will definitely be back!

Nice Place, Felt comfortable, and Safe. Pool and Tiki Bar fully Functional. Update Website Please. My only concern is Kitchen needs some TLC. Cleaning underneath burners and making sure dishes are cleaned frompreviousguest. Microwave is rusted all inside a fire hazard for sure. Not expensive to replace. Otherwise loved it and will definitely return.

20th anniversary vacation
The whole place was a little dated, but kept up with. Not a bad place to stay if you're not going to be in the room much, which we weren't. The balcony furniture was in desperate need of replacing, as at leat o e leg of everything was rusted off. Did have one cockroach, but only one that I saw. Great views of the ocean and the pool. Overall not bad for the money

quick getaway
The hotel is older, it was built in 1962. I liked the Hawaiian theme. The room was just as shown. It was clean and we had a wonderful time. The cost was reflected by the fact the pool was not available due to the hurricane damage. They were working on both the pool and the steps for getting to the ocean while we were there. This time of year September is great because there are no crowds at the restaurants and the ocean water temp. is great.

Decent for the price
We thought the unit was clean and had a nice view. No WiFi and TV (bc of the WiFi) and no parking pass provided. Eventually got a new WiFi password from the front desk after multiple attempts with Vacasa and never received the parking pass (also after multiple attempts). Overall for the cost, it was decent. It is a nice view and clean.

Quaint little place!
Its not your ordinary placve to stay. The continued repairs the facility are slowly getting the place back to where it should be but it was a bit rough to be fair. The pool was a completely mess and wasn't disclosed. That wasn't the end of the world for our trip, we still had a great time there and will return again on a future trip. The unit is dated, but there is something nostalgic about it that made it more fun. The only warning I would offer is to bring a pair of slippers because the wind blows really fine sand into the unit and the floor is covered in it and you cant see it. Its just a feature of being in a room on the beach.

We liked the property stay but a lot of issues was our concern. We had no linens for two and a half days no tv and the WiFi didn’t work they sent someone for the tv but he didn’t solve the problem it took us Sunday, Monday, and half the day on Tuesday and lots of phone calls to get the linens and requested for partial refund then they finally arrived at the front desk for us because we were out at the time. Hawaiian Inn #422 Daytona Beach, Fl. I don’t know how to make it any better for you. This is my review

Our stay
We took my mother in law who hasn’t been able to travel for some time now here. Pictures are not a reflection of what is there. Trash everywhere, no one wiping things down after people using them. I had to carry my own Lysol wipes and wipe chairs down by the pool. They did even have the chairs 6 feet from the next family/group. The smell of pot everywhere. The doors slam all hours of the night. The amount money I expected a little better. I have tried to call Vacasa but no return call yet!

Needs work
It’s got a view that is overshadowed by the construction. The lounge and pool area are inaccessible and looked as if they had been for some time. Inside the condo looks as if they are trying to make sure that is one step up from the motel 8. The closet door is completely off, there is dust and yuck covering anything in line with the AC vents (which by themselves are disgusting), the mats for all the floors are old and worn out, and lastly the thermostat doesn’t have a cover on it so good luck guessing the temperature! I will say on the good side that the management company is very responsive and polite. However, they need to be checking these units and make sure the overall appeal is there outside of it being ocean front, which is awesome! It’s also very covenant to food and the speedway. Make sure you check out the dinosaurs just south of the condo! We also recommend Cracked Egg Diner for breakfast.

I really did love the view of the beach. That’s really about it…the view. I can’t express enough how dissatisfied I was with the room. The ac leaked and mold was present, walls needed a paint job, the furniture were old, the ceiling needed to be touched up. Basically, this room needs to be renovated. I contacted Vacasa about the ac leaking and they told me that they will be sending someone to look at it. That never happened. Afterwards, I looked at the reviews and someone had the same complaint 3 years ago. Rent from them at your own risk.

Pics are deceiving!
The view from the balcony is SPECTACULAR! The shower pressure was AMAZING but everything else was bad :( The king size bed was horrible, every time one of us moved we heard it, it was so uncomfortable; tossed & turned every night! The headboard wasn't screwed in, just laying between wall and bedframe, not to mention DIRTY!!! The sofa was peeling off and that mattress was thin; you felt every coil. Not enough blankets. Little fridge, freezer frozen but didn't keep anything frozen. Kitchen faucet needs new head, sprays you every time. Paint peeling from ceilings. No shelf to put your dry goods. Did supply enough bathing towels for 3 of us. Only 2 beach towels. NO SECURITY! ANYONE can walk into the property from the street or off the beach 24/7 and I mean that!!! ALWAYS loud at pool side no matter what the hour of night! I would love to attach photos taken.

Lots of Issues not addressed in a timely manner by Vacasa
I would not recommend using Vacasa, I felt that they were extremely slow in responding to the 4 issues we had. The 2 major issues were a broken lock to our room, and NO CABLE and extremely spotty Wifi (both cable and wifi were listed under amenities in the listing). It took us 3 days to have a Vacasa phone staff member tell us how to make a temporary parking pass because there was no parking pass in the room, Hawaiian Inn Staff wouldn't help because we were not renting from them. Finally we had a leek that required towels & pans when it rained. Vacasa is a huge successful corporation in the vacation industry, I feel that they could care less about my experience or issues I experienced. I just wonder how they get away with it. I will not use Vacasa again & I don't recommend them. The best part of the stay was our AMAZING view from our 4th floor balcony looking out over the pool and the ocean, but we paid for more than a view.

I wish I had saved the note I sent VASCA about the stay, but I will try to hit the highlights. 1) upon arrival this condo is OLD AS DIRT and the rugs inside look about as old as the building. The dust and dirt from the AC vents is everywhere. Lord knows when the last time they were cleaned. The closet door was completely hanging off. The esc on the shower aren't attached. There is massive construction, so no pool or patio and you have to go around the building through construction to get to the beach. 2) good things - VACSA was on the ball with texting. That is about it. The management company or the actual owner of the condo need to visit this place at least every 6 months to check it out. It definitely doesn't look like anyone who actually cares has visited in a while. I wish I had known because I feel like I paid just to look at the beach that was hidden by construction equipment. Would LOVE to have some of my money back due to the description of the condo not meeting the reality.

Could use some work
The room could definitely use a little updating. The biggest thing that needs fixed is the outside furniture. The chair was missing a bar at the bottom. My 6 year old daughter went to step down on the bar to get out of the chair and hit the ground. She had to be taken to ER by ambulance. Not how we wanted to start our trip for sure. When renting the room it stated we had cable and internet. We could never get the cable to work. The tv had live tv on it but the internet at the motel was to slow so it would not work. I contacted the number provided when checking in for problems. I communicated with them through text and on voice call the day of arriving and the following day. The problem regarding the cable was supposed to be fixed but never heard from them again. I have never left a bad review before but when you go on vacation you want to be able to relax and have down time in the room watching tv, especially with a 6 years old. The room was overall clean which was good and the pool was great.

The air conditioner leaked leaving big puddles on the tile floor. I had to stretch towels across the floor to keep from slipping in the water. I notified Vacasa about this but it was never addressed. The paint on the walls & ceiling is peeling. The knob to turn shower on wasn't working properly, when you turned it, the whole pipe turned. The room was clean, but smelled musty due to to water leaking from the air conditioner. The ceiling has several black spots on it. It looks like the ceiling has had or has water damage that's just been painted over instead of properly taken care of. One of the closet doors was broken & not on the track. The bed is very uncomfortable. It is hard with dips and lumps. I woke up both days sore from the bed. The room looks nothing like the listing. When going to Daytona, I expect dated buildings but this one is not well maintained. We had friends with us that stayed in another unit at the Hawaiian....the difference was night and day!! We have also stayed at other units at the Hawaiian and not had issues like this.

The property was very nice and the location of the room was great it’s just this room had so many things wrong!!! The few times I did try to contact the owner like about early check in and late check out it was too late we didn’t arrive til five because we didn’t realize we could check in sooner we lived 4 hrs away! And there was no need for a late checkout because we were so upset about the room we just wanted to go home,grandkids were there in another room so we stayed for them!!! This email wouldn’t let me submit this til I selected a star above 3

Great stay, only one suggestion
The whole stay was fantastic. The only issue I noticed was there was no way to secure the room from the inside other than the deadbolt with the keypad on the outside. Just speaking as a woman travelling on her own, it would have been nice to have an second lock or something to secure the door with that I knew couldn't be tampered with from the outside... as it stands, I ended up having to put the broom stick through the door handle over night. Outside of that I had a wonderful trip and would definitely look at staying again for my next trip

Loved the room .. Loved the view Beach towels were a lovely touch Even though we didn’t use the things in the closet for the pool .. it was great that they were their Kitchen could have had a few more tools for cooking .. especially Tea towels would have been a plus .. had to use bathroom towels to dry the dishes Would definitely book again in the future Thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere .. P.S. the entrance to the building and the hallways and Elevators were kinda dirty .. not an appealing start .. but once we entered our nice condo . we didn’t much care ! Nancy T.
