Please note that it is necessary to take a ferry to Daufuskie Island and the cost of boat and ground transportation is around $75 per person roundtrip, with discounts available for children 5 and under. (Parking fees may apply.) Let us help you with these details.

Public pool is open and daily rates apply. $25/adult, $15/Child, $60/family. 25% discount for JonBie Maisons guests. After 1pm passes are $10

This premium cottage has it all. Situated on the ocean-front row of Daufuskie’s beautiful Avenue of Oaks, JonBie Maison guests will look to the Atlantic Ocean beach from the screened-in front porch. The cottage has a wonderful location, and cottage guests will be just steps away from the pristine Melrose Beach .

The interior of the cottage is open and spacious living/dining/kitchen area that is great for family and friend time. The cottage includes cable TV and flat screen TVs . WIFI is Free during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with service for 8 or more with full size stainless steel appliances, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a stocked Coffee/Tea Bar, making meal preparation easy for you and your family throughout your stay - even Holidays! Meals can be enjoyed in the dining area or screened porch and each area seats up to 8 comfortably.

A laundry room with washer and dryer is also available to make island life more convenient and comfortable; and there is a high chair and pack & play for your infant and toddler needs.

A golf cart is also included with your booking for your use during your stay. Information for reserving additional carts at discounted rate will be provided at booking. GAS CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT ALL JONBIE COTTAGES & VILLAS and Carts are NOT to be used for hauling luggage, groceries, coolers, etc.

Information on transportation options to and from the island along with getting groceries and activities will be provided with your rental.

Great cottage, great location
This cottage is located one block from the Melrose Oyster House on a secluded beach. With three bedrooms and three baths, it was the perfect fit for our family for a long Labor Day weekend. Wonderful views of sunrises and quiet evenings to enjoy the peacefulness of Daufuskie.

Daufuskie Getaway!
We love Daufuskie!! It is not for everyone. it is not for those that are looking for lots to do - or a 5 star resort experience - it is rustic, quiet, peaceful. and a true getaway! This cottage was perfect - and the management team was fantastic. They were super responsive - and so helpful considering that they just experienced a hurricane! I was super grateful that the team was flexible - and understanding. Thank you!!!

Expectations surpassed !
This was one of the most comfortable clean and enjoyable stays we have ever experienced. The view and location was incredible. Everyone slept so well in the beds - They provided extra amenities that was very helpful for our stay such as coffee, shower amenities, dishwasher pods and laundry pods. Also, we loved having the golf cart the beach toys and the bikes for our use! Checkin was a breeze and they were really accommodating to give us tips on where locals like to eat and places we should see. This house - the amenities - and the team were fantastic and made this one of the best trips !!!! Don’t hesitate - book with them today!

Great Vacation Cottage
We loved the location of the cottage and the views. Tammy and Kurt were very responsive and made a wonderful brochure for us (prob didn’t need the presentation of it upon arrival) but we did appreciate the enthusiasm that went into it. Tammy let us in a little bit early too. The place had great hot water, nice kitchen appliances and wonderful beds, and extra towels. AMAZING BEACH location!!! Four stars, not five because 1) We both felt it needed some repairs and a better deep clean of floors and oriental rugs. 2) The eco friendly cart included with the cottage had no suspension or gas power so we found this very frustrating when other carts at other cottages were passing us daily and we were jostled around. 3) We had been told the pool was open but not aware of additional fees prior (50/day in costs was steep for a family of four) 4) All 3 sets of doors on the rental both front and back needed repairs (batteries, framing, bolt repairs). Coming in and out and getting door stuck every time with small children was hard to deal with and no one wants to call maintenance on their vacation. Also felt the home needed privacy shades or sheer curtains. If you are coming to the island-pack food because there were no grocery stores-but a convenience store that had about 1/3 of what you would find at your local BP. This would be a great cottage for someone with smaller children or elderly parents who needed quick and easy beach access!

Melrose at Dafuskie
We enjoyed our stay at Melrose at the Beach! Our family members ages are from 3-67, so the screen porch was great for meals, relaxing, napping, nightly family card games, and the toddler just playing in the shade enjoying the breeze! Dafuskie is simply amazing and is one of our top vacations spots now!

Great house, beautiful island, fantastic property managers. Daufuskie is like going back in time and Jonbie did a great job all around -- helping coordinate transportation from the marina to the house, check-in process and instructions, availability for issues that popped up during the stay (we had trouble figuring out how to charge the golf cart and they responded within 10 minutes). Overall a great experience, property and location. We will go back and would stay at this same house again (or another property managed by JonBie Maisons).

Great Spot to Enjoy an Idyllic Island
Beach front property in a unique setting of a pine forest right on the ocean. Loved the house sitting in the shaded glade of trees by the ocean, much different than your typical beach house. Highly recommend.

Heaven in Melrose
We absolutely loved staying here! The house is spacious, and the view is incredible! The property manager did a phenomenal job prepping us for our visit as well as explaining everything when we checked in. The bedrooms are huge! The porch was covered in pollen (which is a losing battle this time of year) but maybe some extra cleaning supplies would have assisted. We 100% recommend this property and would love to stay there again!

Excellent property manager!
We were moved to a different property upon arrival because cable and internet were out at original property. Property manager was quick to get us moved and ensured we were comfortable and happy. At the time of departure, our boat was delayed due to fog and property manager was gracious and flexible to allow us to remain in the rental until we could leave. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely book with JonBie Maison again because Tammy was so easy to work with!

We had such a great time staying here. Kurt checked us in and gave us a tour and made sure we had everything we needed. Golf cart included in the rental along with bikes and a paddle board. Beach is steps from this location. Would definitely stay again

The best long weekend ever!!!
This rental was way more than what was in the description! The house was well maintained, it was stocked with the basics which made traveling easier, the bikes, paddle board and golf cart not to mention beach chairs, beach towels and beach toys made our stay superb! Can’t wait to come back!!!
