Knowingly checked out dirty rooms that had not been serviced. We have used this property 10 times in the past. This was our last visit. My wife and daughter checked in as normal with no issues. Their room had trash in the floor and trashcans, the sheets on the pullout were stained and had trash in them,there were bugs, and the hallway and room smelled. My wife went to the front desk to request clean sheets and to let them know about the state of the room, and was informed that they could give clean sheets, but couldn't put them on because they had no housekeeping. She inquired if the room had been serviced at all before being rented. They said no because they had no housekeeping all day. There were 3 other rooms worth of guests complaining about the state of their rooms. She was told that they could checkout and get a refund, she has some trouble driving after dark, so packing back up and trying to find another hotel wasn’t an option. We tried to address the issues with management, Wingate Corporate, and Expedia that night. We were eventually told that there was nothing to be done until the manager came in the next morning. Tried calling them, no response. The Corporate care line the next day said that we should wait to file a complaint until after they checked out, "in case the staff mistreat or kick them out"!!! When we did file a complaint the manager lied and said we were moved to another room. Many emails later - no refund or acknowledgement of the problem.

Overall the room was dirty, the bed had hairs in it and on the pillows. The night we stayed it was 30 degrees outside and the heater did not work. In the hallway, there were balls of hair and other debris left behind from the vacuum

I should not complain for the price I paid but the picture are not what the actual place looks - it’s older. The room I was given smelled of cigarette smoke. I can say that I did not have a good nights sleep having the paranoia of bedbugs as this is what the room made me feel, old sofa is old and stained. The place seems to have had their bathroom renovated, bath towels are new. They have breakfast, eggs was very salty. I’m not trying to be mean in my review - just being factual.
