The Hideaway at Knox Henderson + Pool + Hot Tub

This updated cottage is located in Knox Henderson, walking distance to the best restaurants, roof top bars, wineries, live entertainment and shopping. We offer an amazing back yard pool, hot tub and a well decorated interior. The backyard is spacious, alongside outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.

The entire backyard has been turfed along with a large wooden deck for tanning and lounging by the pool. We also offer a combination of upgrades and originality inside the home. The two bathrooms have been completely remodeled and all original wood flooring has been refinished. Flat screen TVs have been added to both bedrooms since photographs were taken. This is a great home for families, weekend getaways, sporting events, business trips and more.

POOL and HOT TUB:
The pool is available for use year round, however, it is NOT a heated pool. The hot tub is ONLY available for use the months of October, November, December, January, February and March. The hot tub isn't available in the Summer months. Instructions for use will be provided to guests booking within the months of October, November, December, January, February and March. In the event we fall below freezing, the pool/hot tub will go into “Freeze Protection” preventing the hot tub from being available for use. This prevents the pool pipes from freezing over. This doesn’t happen but one or twice per winter.


ATTENTION: Absolutely NO smoking, NO pets, NO parties. We also do NOT allow the use of glitter or confetti inside or outside the home. Pool is NOT heated. Out of respect for our neighbors and neighborhood rules, NO loud music or yelling past 10:00PM. Unfortunately, we have had people disrespect these rules in the past and therefore we were FORCED TO END THEIR STAYS EARLY.

Many restaurants, roof top bars, wineries, live entertainment and shopping are within walking distance of our home. We lie just off Knox Henderson.

Location, location, location
We wanted a small rental for 2 adults and a 17 year old near Knox Henderson for 2 nights. The interior is exactly as photographed, with the exception that it wasn't obvious that the washer and dryer are in the garage, which would benefit from a visit from a leaf blower and a table to fold clothing Location - This house in 1 block east of the North Central Expressway. You can hear the the 8 lanes of freeway traffic in the backyard, as well as the bedrooms, hence the white noise machines on the side table. Not great. There is also a Dennys behind the house, which isnt in the photos. Must have used photo shop. You can see the sign from the kitchen and while in backyard. Finally, this home is next to a long-term rental, that in my option is a frat house. Friday Night loud music until 10. Saturday night loud music until 11. Which I was willing to forgive, BUT the music started up again at 4am Sunday morning. It was literally like living next to a nightclub. I reached out to the host, who apologized, and offered late checkout, but wasn't needed.

Nice stay!
We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were clean and well appointed. It was perfect for our group of four! The yard backs up to Denny's which wasn't a problem and the area was quiet overall, but still a surprise upon arrival. Walking distance to a few cool bars and a quick Uber ride to other parts of town. Overall we enjoyed the stay!

Quick Weekend
Really cute house and neighborhood love the beautiful and different homes. The house was comfy and the pool was great with everything you need. Really enjoyed the decor and feel of the house it had good vibes! Our only complaint was fruit flies! It was crazy how many were at every single drain in kitchen and bathrooms. I literally killed 22 in one shower. It was a small battle to get through the kitchen without running into them. There was also quite a nasty smell in bathrooms after showering but I’m sure it’s just old pipes so didn’t care too much. Love the location! We were able to get to lots of bars and restaurants easy and able to order in food quick and easy from so many places. Highly recommended but hopefully they can get some bleach down the drains and rid the home of fruit flies!

This cute house was in a great location for our stay! Lots of restaurants and boutiques in walking distance. It was very clean and decorated nicely. I just wish that the pool or hot tub was heated. That’s what drew us to that property.

Wonderful Home For International Business Trip
We were very pleased with the beautiful accommodations and responsiveness of the host. The area was lively and within walking distance to many restaurants and a grocery store. Girls Trip
We arrived at this charming little house with super cute curb appeal. The charm continues inside with real hardwood floors and a nice remodel. I booked this one for the bedroom/bed count so I was a little disappointed to find that the 3rd bedroom with two queens was the living room. Luckily my friends didn't complain. The other draw was the hot tub which we didn't use because it was cold. In fairness we didn't try to turn it on because we didn't feel it would actually heat in a realistic amount of time. We did feel very comfortable in the home and hung out longer than plan because it was so comfortable. And what a cute little neighborhood! We walked to bars, restaurants, shopping and Trader Joe's! The beds were super comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. Overall it was very enjoyable.

Great Family Gathering Space
Had a wonderful family visit. House was thoughtfully updated and decorated and we all felt very comfortable and welcome. It wasn't swimming weather, but the back yard was a very nice touch and would be great for a warm weather visit! Quaint neighborhood walking distance to beautiful Knox Henderson shopping and restaurants. Short drive to downtown Dallas. Samantha was very responsive and helpful. Nice hospitable touches like coffee, some light snacks, etc. We would definitely stay again!

Incredible Stay
This is a vacation rental done incredibly right. Elite value, location, and communication with the property owner, Samatha. This was the perfect pick for my 10 and 14 year old’s Fall Break five day getaway in Dallas. And an ideal spot for a couples trip in the future. Looking forward to staying again anytime I’m in Dallas. From the house itself, the service, pool/spa, neighborhood, walkable restaurants, and proximity to downtown Dallas - the value is off the charts. Thanks again, Samatha!

Charming historical cottage close to everything!
This adorable house is on a street within walking distance to Knox-Henderson and all the dining and shopping that proximity entails. There is even a plaque on Henderson commemorating the Dillbeck cottages built around 1940; this neighborhood has the largest concentration of said cottages. As would be expected, the home is therefore full of charm (beautiful hardwood floors and wood trim), but tastefully updated with new kitchen and baths. The beds are quite comfortable and there is plenty of space for a family of 4. Our favorite thing was the backyard, with pool and hot tub. It was too cold for us to use the pool this trip, but we would definitely like to rent here again if available. Communication was too-notch, with Samantha replying at all hours. Upon arrival at DFW airport, we asked about the possibility of an early check-in, and while it wasn’t available just then, Samantha sent a message after the cleaning crew had departed allowing us to check in earlier than planned. I also sent a message letting her know we were departing at 4:30 am, and I received a reply soon thereafter. The only con is the proximity to 75 and its traffic, but there were noise machines in the bedroom closets available (which we didn’t even use). Ironically it didn’t even seem loud in the backyard when using the hot tub (perhaps the bubbling masked the traffic sound). Very enjoyable getaway home!
