We came to McKinney for Thanksgiving with family. The location of the VRBO, a five minute walk to our daughter’s home, and the fact they allowed our dachshund to stay too made it perfect.
This house is a sweet little cottage near the cultural district.
This house is so clean and it smelled so good!!
The beds are a little firm, but the house fit our needs perfectly.
The host was very responsive!! 10/10
This house is ok for a night or two. It was clean but could use a little tlc. It was nice to have a place for the dogs to run. It would have been nice to have a hairdryer. House is in a neighborhood that was relatively quiet.
We originally picked this for the night before my wedding for the bridesmaids because the pictures were so cute. When we got there, the a/c was on 79, we set it at 72 and it just kept getting hotter and no one was able to respond to us when asking for help. I took a shower and there were multiple spiders as if no one had been there in weeks to even look at it. We ended up leaving before the night was over to stay at a hotel.

Disappointing stay
We recently traveled with our small dogs and were utterly disappointed with our stay. The house is cute in a decent area or neighborhood but needs upkeep and maintenance. We ended up buying our own new linens and had to treat our dogs for fleas because the home had a flea problem. We communicated with the host and although we were reimbursed for what we spent in flea treatment, it wasn't enough to make it right, and it was clear they were not interested in making it right - why do we pay for cleaning fees and pet fees if the funds aren't used for that, cleaning and upkeep?

Recent stay for funeral
My dad recently passed away and my family needed a place to stay for his memorial service. We specifically looked for a place close to the church, in a nicer neighborhood. We also needed a place with a yard, as my adult daughter was bringing her dogs. We loved the neighborhood where this home was located, but that was the best part of this property. We found this property to be very old and not clean. The floor was dirty and the shower was not working properly. The water was hot, but it was very small and needs to be re-tiled. The grout was moldy looking. It states on VRBO that it is 1 and 1/2 baths, but the 1/2 bath is tiny. My son was to sleep on the pull out in the living room, but we never could find the sheets for the bed so he just slept on the couch. There were 5 of us staying (all adults), but only had 4 towels- no wash cloths. Also, dinner was brought to us the night before the memorial service but there was only 1 fork to be found in the entire kitchen. We had to use plastic toddler forks to eat. There were also limited knives. The kitchen was quite outdated, and needs some work (along with the bathrooms). Also, there are cracks in the walls due to foundation issues. Walking up to the house, you can see the foundation issues on the outside as there is a huge gap between the house and the foundation.
We had to book this at the last minute, because our other rental never us with arrival instructions and they were extremely prompt to respond and assist with our needs. This place was very clean and appealing to our needs. The hospitality was wonderful! And communication was great!
Outstanding location in an original section of rapidly growing McKinney, this spacious house met our needs for traveling with our dogs. We loved walking around the quiet, safe neighborhood looking at unique architecture. Renowned Hutchins BBQ is within walking

Nice little house, just needs a good scrubbing…especially the shower and tub. Great air conditioning. Nice beds. Kitchen has everything you need. Washer and dryer. Odd that all the lights were unplugged. Good covered patio overlooking a field of trees. Birds. Rabbits. Very nice. Two large wasp nests on the ceiling of the patio cover. Whole house needs to be debugged. With a little more attention to detail, it would be a great rental.
I loved the house, it was genuinely so perfect for the stay we had. I hosted a small get together of 12 people, and there was enough room in the kitchen and around the house to place food for all of them. The only thing that I have an issue with in the property was the tiny amount of sugar ants that lived in the house, the gunky floors, and the shower not draining well. Part from that, it was genuinely a GREAT property and I would stay again. It is right next to a really cool park (you can walk there in a straight line from the backyard) and it’s only a few minutes away from Historic Downtown McKinney
