You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

New Home! Feels like a Treehouse! Close to Square, UNG, Weddings, & Wine.

You will feel like you are in a tree house while relaxing in the 2nd floor great room and fully equipped kitchen. Step outside onto the deck to watch the sun as it sets below the trees after a fun day of hiking, wine tasting, or panning for gold. Bring your streaming passwords, curl up on the couch, and enjoy a movie.

Both bedrooms and full bath are on the first floor. The 1st bedroom has a queen bed; the 2nd bedroom has a full bed.

The full kitchen, great room, half bath, and deck are on the second floor. There is a full-size pullout couch with a gel foam mattress in the great room.

All of the artwork in Blue Door is created by local artists and purchased on Dahlonega's historic town square. You even have the opportunity to purchase artwork provided by the artist! Details listed in the house.

I’ll provided some items to get you started:

1 set of bathroom amenities (hotel-sized soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion).
1 roll of paper towels.
2 rolls of toilet paper in both the full and half bathroom.
Several detergent pods.
Several dishwasher pods.
Several garbage bags. Several k-cups, cream, sugar

1 dog is allowed to stay at Blue Door with a $50 Pet Fee
Well behaved & house trained
1-year or older. Sorry! no puppies
Current on Veterinary recommended flea control
For your dog’s safety, while on the property, please always walk on leash
Preferable that your dog is with you at all times
If you must leave your dog alone in the house, please bring a crate

Blue Door is in a residential neighborhood and the hosts live in a separate house on the property. Parking is available in the driveway. There is a ring doorbell. No smoking in the house.

Check-in is 4pm. Check-out is 10am.

Graduation Getaway

The Blue Door was perfect for our quick getaway! It was so clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the deck in the mornings and the rooster across the way. There were so many thoughtful extras-snacks, condiments, spices, blankets, games-that made our stay extra special. We enjoyed tubing with the Appalachian Outfitters and a meal at Bourbon Street at the square in Dahlonega. Would definitely stay again.

Great Getaway!!
Very very clean, which is one of my top priorities. The inside is modern and has great fixtures. Loved all the windows! The bed was comfortable. Our pup absolutely loved the top balcony! Thank you for the treats that were available - great selection. ☺️ We would love to make this an annual fall trip. The weather was perfect.

We just spent a wonderful week at Blue Door. The house is brand new and beatufully furnished. High speed internet worked great as well as streaming on both TVs in the living room and main bedroom. The house was clean and smelled great and we loved the many special touches throughout. Very professionally managed. We will be back!

Clean & Quiet Mountain Getaway
The house was exactly as described. We took an extended weekend just to get away from a very busy life. Really enjoyed the house and what Dahlonega had to offer. Great food at Spirit's Tavern, awesome seeing the Consoldated Gold Mine. At night, we enjoyed Netflix and were able to do some light work with excellent internet connection. Very clean house, all amentities work very well. Wonderful stay at The Blue Door!

5 plus stars is what Kim deserves . Immaculate is a understatement . Very well appointed with just enough local fare . Everything is super new , we have stayed in numerous VRBO rentals the last 10 -12 years and this may be the best . Very comfortable beds , nice linens , Vera Wang Towels ..........not something you would expect in a rental and a Kitchen that was loaded with brand new plates , flatware , pans and everything else ! The location is just a short 10 minute off the square and easy to find . You would be hard pressed to find any fault with The Blue Door as your choice !

We wanted to try the wineries up in North Georgia, and were looking for a centrally-located spot. This was it! We could get to Cleveland to the east and Ellijay to the west, all heading out from Dahlonega. Hiking and beautiful drives are also right out the door. The house is very well-stocked, clean, and comfortable. We had snacks and water waiting when we arrived — very kind. A/C worked VERY well — important in July! As for noise, an occasional landscaping truck passes by on the road and some dog barking once in a while, but nothing that affected us that much. Kim was friendly and helpful all the way through. We're very grateful!
