Charming Farmhouse on Beautiful Horse Farm

The Flying Duck Farmhouse is a restored vintage farmhouse located at the foot of Three Sisters Mountains less than 4 miles from downtown Dahlonega. Surrounded by horse pastures, wineries, hiking trails, waterfalls, breathtaking views and one of the most delightful small towns in the USA. Spend a weekend in our clean mountain air enjoying the unique shops and restaurants in Dahlonega and local wineries (Cavender Creek, Wolf Mountain, Frogtown and Kaya Vineyards are all less than 5 miles away). Or, you can enjoy hiking, rafting, kayaking, mountain climbing, zip lining, trout fishing, or just relaxing. Our Farmhouse is the perfect get away in a great location.

The farmhouse can accommodate up to 5 people. There are two bedrooms each with a queen bed and one pullout sofa in the living room. To make your sleep more comfortable, we use PeachSkin Bedding and hypoallergenic pillow covers. There is a fully equipped kitchen if you want to eat-in. The decor is cozy with a quirky edge to add some happy to your stay.

Just a short walk away is a large deck overlooking a beautiful stream - a perfect place to pan for gold or have cocktails. You may run into Katie, our miniature donkey, who loves to have her ears rubbed or see horses grazing in the pastures.

There is a large pond on the farm that has lots fish. You are welcomed to bring your poles/bait and try your luck. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Catch and release only please.

We have just added a fire pit at the farmhouse for your use.

We love our horse farm and enjoy sharing it with others.

This was an amazing property that offered both serene quiet while still being close to everything! It's also got beautiful views! The house was clean and very cute. The only downside was the shower was small; however, it makes up for it by having a detachable shower head. My mom and i panned for gold in the nearby creek. We loved that they had gold pans and directions for us to do this! I would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful stay close to town
The location is quiet and peaceful and the house is charming. The shower is small but the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well laid out. The grounds are so relaxing! It’s a short drive to town.

Girls getaway
My 3 childhood best friends and I visited the farm for a 41st bday celebration. We loved the view of the lake and meeting the horses. House was well kept, clean, and easy to get to. The property is close to wineries and downtown Dahlonega. Was a perfect size for us.

A beautiful home away from home
We just got home from our stay and we were so sad to end our vacation. The house looks just like the photos and had all the comforts of home. The property is even more beautiful in person. My kids are already asking when we can go back.

Cozy little cabin with beautiful views all around. We got to stroll down and pet one of the horses, look at the donkey and do a little trail walk. House has everything you could need and more! If we are ever in the area we will definitely visit again!

A get-away trip with out going very far
Spent a beautiful sunny weekend at this relaxing spot with my daughter for her 30-somethingth bday. We loved walking the grounds, meeting the animals (we even spotted some beavers) and visiting the square in Dahlonega. But the best part was just relaxing and enjoying the quiet in our perfect little comfy house. Hosts have done a great job of making everything easy and welcoming.

We had an incredible stay at the Flyjng Duck ranch. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the hosts, fishing the lake, walking the property, petting Katie the donkey, and staying warm by the outside fire pit. The kitchen and toiletries were all very well stocked. This was by far our best experience in the GA mountains - we will definitely be back.

One year Anniversary
My husband and I visited for our one year anniversary. We had a Great time. We loved fishing, learning about cowboy shooting , wading in the creek and just relaxing. We would highly recommend. The owners are also wonderful people!

Second stay for our family!
We will be making this our fall getaway from now on! From the house with the fire pit to the deck overlooking the creek, to the pond and horses, and all the beautiful scenery....this is a wonderful place to stay! The location is close to so many attractions of this area in the mountains so you are close to anything you want to visit. This was our family’s second time here and we love it.

Flying Duck Farm
Beautiful property, clean and well kept! Came for our 31st anniversary and had a very relaxing time. Walked the trail on the farm, met Katie and the horses, hubby enjoyed fishing every evening in the pond. First time in Dahlonega, great town and nice area. Waterfall hikes were wonderful!

Awesome weekend getaway!!
This was a weekend getaway for me and 2 of my closest cousins. There was a group of 4 cousins of us who were very close and 6 months ago we lost one of our cousins in our group. It was devastating so we planned this getaway to remember him and make new memories for the 3 of us that are still living. We plan on doing this every year as long as we can. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and may come back in a few years.😀
