Ruchenschwand is one of the most beautiful places in the Upper Black Forest: the land rises gently before it flows into a final valley before Feldberg and Herzogenhorn; behind you these peaks, in front of you the Alpine panorama. All around are the most beautiful pastures and forests with wild berry and mushroom, certainly snow-covered in winter. In summer you can start hiking directly from the house, for example to the nearby Monasterypond, where you can swim. In winter, the Ibach cross-country ski runs, various snowshoe trails and the Bernau slopes are within easy reach. The towns of Sankt Blasien and Todtmoos can each be reached in 10 minutes by car. The apartment is part of a detached property surrounded by an idyllic garden.
