Clean, comfortable room in quiet and beautiful surrounds. The hosts, Moon and Tri, were fantastic and offered insights into the Vietnamese culture and lifestyle. I was privileged to share a traditional Vietnamese meal with them at one of their favourite restaurants. They also have a super cute dog. Free use of bicycles for commuting and transfers are easily organised through the hosts. They organised for a scooter with driver to take me to My Son, and transfers between the accommodation and train station/airport.
The location is in the village surrounded by farms which means it is quiet and, in my opinion, beautiful scenery. An Bang beach is about 1km away and the town is about 2.5km away (short trips on the bicycle). The weather is hot so these trips might make you a hot, sweaty mess. Taxis or scooter transfers can be organised for a small fee.
The bed was comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom were clean and included a fridge, TV, desk with chair and wardrobe. Basic toiletries are provided as in a hotel (toothbrush, comb, etc.) and the air conditioner worked well. There are both Western and Vietnamese breakfast options - try the Cao Lau it's delicious!
All in all, it provided all the comforts of a hotel with a more personal touch through the interaction with the Vietnamese hosts. Best suited for those seeking a more traditional insight to Vietnamese life and a quiet place to stay. Those more inclined to party all night in town might be better off staying elsewhere.
