Mama Cusco es la mejor!
Mama Cusco is the sweetest lady and helped us SO MUCH to understand how we could get to Machu Picchu. Gave us ideas to do in our short stay in Cusco and was just a lovely person to be around. She basically saved my life. I loved her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The place was right downtown so it made it easier for us to walk everywhere. Great location!

Pretty close to downtown, very spacious rooms.
I stayed there for a day after my trip to Machu Picchu and it was pretty decent, I believe the only misunderstanding was that for an extra cost they provide shower services. I thought that was weird.

Great location! Great value for money! The staff was nice, the room was clean, and the internet worked. I got my solo room for a price and bathroom for a deal.

Mamma Cusco
Where do I begin! This was my first experience staying at a hostal and I was very open to the experience. Let me start by saying that Mamma Cusco and Pappa Cusco try to be nice and accommodating but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this place is not one that I would recommend to anyone. I wasn’t to bothered that my room didn’t come with a TV or that the internet didn’t always work but when I was told that I couldn’t take a shower do to the water pressure I was concerned. Mamma Cusco offered to boil some hot water so I can freshen up but that was not acceptable. Being that we were only staying for two days in a twin bed room I felt I could deal with the situation. At night it gets cold in Cusco due to the elevation and I requested a space heater. Mamma Cusco told me that she would allow me to use the heater for an additional $10 USD. I told her that I paid to stay here and refuse to pay additional for a heater. It got to a point where I had to threaten to leave the hostal and request a refund from Expedia to get the heater for free. The fact that we had no hot water had to use boiled water to clean up the refusal to let me use the heater the bathroom didn’t look clean, the towels looked dirty along with the room is all reasons for me to not recommend this place! A cheap price isn’t always worth it.

Poner en la balanza
El hostel es cómodo y la ubicación muy buena; pero las reglas de la casa no me gustaron: había horarios para bañarse por ejemplo después de las 8 de la noche sólo había agua para lavarse los dientes, teniendo en cuenta que volvíamos de las excursiones después de ese horario, debíamos acostarnos sin bañarnos. El agua caliente, para hacer un te o mate, te costaba 2 soles, en otros alojamientos te daban agua e incluso invitaban te, además está prohibido lavar tu ropa y colgarla en el patio, el hostel tiene lavandería así que estas casi obligado a dejar allí tu ropa para lavar y por último la puerta de entrada siempre está cerrada, cada vez que querés entrar o salir debes tocar timbre o avisar, en Cusco llueve mucho imagínate esperar bajo la lluvia.

Cuando llame al hostel a confirmar la reserva me dijeron que no me darian la oferta ofrecida, y les explique que ya tenia una confirmacion y me dijeron que NO LES INTERESABA que tenga una reserva, que no nos cobrarian el precio ofrecido y que cancelemos la reserva. Un día antes de llegar nos dejaron sin hotel.

Idéalement placé a petit prix !
J'ai passé 10 jours auprès de papa et mama Cusco. J'ai apprécié les attentions quotidiennes pour les visites notamment, l'aide apporté quand je suis arrivé (petit soucis avec le Mal des montagnes), la visite de la ville avec Papa Cusco bref, your home far away from home ! Il y a des horaires à respecter pour l'eau chaud mais si on les suis, La douche est bien chaude :)

Era muy incomodo, muy ruidoso, malos servicios y dotaciones de agua. Los dueños no son sinceros y uno se siente con ganas de irse lo mas antes posible. Mala experiencia.
