Venturing through the stately gates of Winding Creek Lodge you feel as if you were miles away from it all. This home/lodge is perfect for families with it's spacious wrap around porch. Sit in rocking chairs next to the stone fire pit while taking in a majestic lake view. Spend time on hiking trails, or fishing for bass and crappie during your stay, (GA State Species Limits Apply). Enjoy the use of 2-Canoes or 4-kayaks on the 12.5 acre private lake.

The dinning room is perfect for family-style meals with it's 16' farm table designed to accommodate small groups or families.

Spend time on the leather couches in the family room while watching TV or enjoying a fire in the wood burning fire place.

Winding Creek Lodge is designed to accommodate family gatherings, small events less than 25 ppl, corporate retreats, or those looking for a place to escape from the world.
* If you would like to book Winding Creek Lodge as a vacation home rental and utilize it for an event (i.e. birthday party, wedding, or group gathering), a separate rental agreement and fee will apply. Please message the home owner through VRBO.com for further instructions on how to book for events. The home rental is subject to immediate termination if the renter does not disclose or obtain prior authorization for events including or over 25ppl.

Located 15 minutes from downtown Forsyth, GA, and 8-10 minutes from downtown Musella, GA, Winding Creek Lodge is just a short drive from several great local restaurants, farmers market, and peach orchards. In summertime, one can visit Dickies Peaches for local produce or to sample fresh peach and strawberry ice cream.

The cabin was beautiful and spacious. My family spent many hours on the pouch enjoying nature and taking in the beauty of the property. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed preparing meals and enjoying family times in that big well equipped kitchen. Great place for family gatherings. Sarah was wonderful and made us feel welcome. Look forward to returning in the future.

Amazing experience!
We had a “Wild at Heart” men’s retreat in December. The property was amazing. The setting is exactly what we were looking for. It was relaxing and beautiful. The host was also so kind and accommodating. We will be back next year!

We got married over our stay and the whole wedding party stayed with us to make it easier on everyone. Sarah is a awesome host, very easy to talk with and made sure you are taken care of. The house was very nice and so close to our venue which made it perfect for our weekend.

We are a local business and has some employees come from out of state and we chose to rent here instead of the hotel. Everyone loved the house and property. Very clean, a lot of room and beautiful porch and lake. Bass were biting! Already booking our next stay

Fantastic family reunion
We loved every minute of our time there. The two main gathering spots were around the dining table where we told so many stories about members of our family. After all, it was a family reunion. It tended to be used for our gathering spot, whether we were eating or not.

The pictures do not do this property justice. The house is pristine, gorgeous, and well stocked. Just an incredible house…a manicured lake that is so peaceful. We had a great time fishing and floating around. Perfect place for a getaway to get some peace and quiet. We were able to get a round of golf in as well 15 minutes away.

Best family vacation ever
An amazing stay in a beautiful lakeside cabin. Large mouth bass were biting and the kids and grandkids couldn't get enough. The cabin has everything you could need to relax, recover, and spend quality family time. The 12 of us were comfortable. Have to go to Dickey Farms for peach ice cream, peach bread, peach BBQ sauce, peach jam, and of course peaches. Highest recommendation

Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time with 3 families meeting at this lovely lake property. The house was very clean and well stocked. (We could have used some food storage containers in the kitchen). The lake activities were very fun, and the porches were comfortable even in the heat of the day with ceiling fans to help ease the July heat. The fire pit was used nightly and wood was ready for us to use!

This property is BEAUTIFUL. The house is majestic, private, and large enough to handle family of 15 easily. Loved the lake for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. The only bad things were the gas grill was greasy and dirty inside, had NEVER been cleaned, and last day saw several roaches in loft area. But we loved the property and will return again when in the area!!!

Mercer Family Weekend
This property exceeded our expectations. It was even better than the pictures. Four generations attended my granddaughters concert at Mercer along with other activities during family weekend. It was fun but hot and crowded. The lodge gave us a great place to retreat and enjoy some real family time. We fished, cooked meals, played games, made s'mores. I am 79 years old and my husband almost had to drag me to the cars while I hollered "I want to stay"

A beautiful, peaceful place to enjoy being with with the family and friends in you love most...
The home is just as described and in the photos. If you get cold easily, bring plenty of layers in the winter. The house stays pretty chilly when it's cold outside. Otherwise, it's perfect. This is a great place for kids of all ages to roam and play, have fun, enjoy solitude, and develop confidence and skills while on the little lake and the hiking and biking trail. It's a great spot to enjoy being away from the usual hustle and bustle, and breathe and relax and remember what carefree fun is like again.

Absolutely the best vacation rental I’ve ever enjoyed!! Wow doesn’t say enough…
From the moment you turn through the gates, prepare to be amazed. We can’t wait to figure out a reason to return. I wish we had more time. Family Haven
This property served as a meeting place for a family reunion with 6 of my husbands brothers and sisters and his father. Is such an amazing special place. Weather was perfect the entire time we were there. The grounds are well taken care of and the lake is AMAZING. We fished, kayaked, sat around the fire pit at night and reminisced. The house was so clean and large enough for our party of 12 comfortably. The hosts were so accomidating and very responsive. The pictures do not do this property justice...so peaceful! I recommend bringing all you need because leaving once you get there is a struggle because it is so relaxing. Hope to rent again in the future.

overall very good!!
overall everything was good. the only problem we had, our stay was when an unusual cold spell hid the weekm after christmas. The heatpumps could not get the house warm enough to be comfortable. For a couple of days 67 was as warm as it would get. Sarah had furnished plenty of firewood but could not get it warm enough. Overly all very good stay. That is the only reason for 4 stars on overall

A piece of heaven on earth
I booked it months ago for my wedding for my out of state family and for myself and hubby. The place was gorgeous and clean. Sarah was very nice, understanding, accommodating and responsive. 100 out of 10!
