A Work in Progress
This hotel is really a residence with a couple of rooms, one “bungalow” where I stayed and one “upgrade.” There is no sign indicating hotel outside and no street address so I had to call to confirm I had the right address. My second night I could not unlock the gate blocking both me and my car from getting in, so I had to call the owner/manager who apparently had to call someone else to come and let me in. This was a bit unnerving. The owner/manager was very nice but I had to park by backing up in a very tight and awkward spot. The payment transaction was slowed by the manager’s equipment not being charged. The room was a bit rough with oldish cooking equipment, which wasn’t needed or expected, a soft and bouncy bed, not great reading light, no chairs. The bathroom had two open shower stalls and evidence of a third that was removed. There was no place to put toiletry items, the drain stopped up due to drain cover and there was NO HOT WATER due to the owner/manager’s desire to avoid leaving the hot water heater on. He did try to explain how to get it hot but it did not work two days in a row. All that said, the property does have a nice looking pool and a well-kept yard it was very quiet as long as there was no one on the pool deck. It was inexpensive for the most part but the lack of hot water was chilling overall.
