"This is not a hotel, reception is a porta cabin, WiFi does not work on 2nd floor, no breakfast as there is no one around , still had lighter and cigarette butts in ashtray from the last person that stayed there. Builders working on swimming pool. Maybe things are different and better at high season. "

"Suited me just fine. They provide a coffee machine & some pastries in the room for a quick breakfast, but it’s really good as a self-catering establishment. There’s a fridge in the room (well stocked with bottled water & little juice packs) and a very good kitchen with cooker, microwave and plenty of crockery & utensils. Handy grocery stores nearby for local cheese & meats etc. I like this sort of place. Would happily stay again."

"The room was uncomfortably hot, the air conditioning kept turning off. Although there were doors onto an enclosed courtyard , one could not leave them open as they looked directly into the opposite bedroom, where one could easily see the bed, etc. "

"We stayed 3 nights off season in April. There is an electric security gate and private garden. So secure parking. The gardens are lovely and the hillside location pleasant. We were warmly welcomed and left to enjoy ourselves. Breakfast was self serve in the room. We could freely come & go to the local attractions. The bathroom was nice."

"Needed an affordable place in this part of Crotone – Il Tulipano looked ideal. Single room, shared bathroom, extremely cheap. Arrived after dark, phoned the owners as reception isn't manned, they kindly drove out to pick me up. B&B is close-ish to the station but tucked away and hard to find, certainly for the first time at night – it's opposite the entrance of the Marrelli Hospital of Radiology & Radiotherapy, marked on maps.
