"Lovely long weekend staying to celebrate a family members 60th birthday. Lovely cottage and surrounding areas, easy commutable distance to activities. All amenities thought off and lovely touch with some Halloween decorations which were enjoyed by all. Communication was amazing and the managers helped with making sure our surprise worked. Very spacious property and everything we thought out for everyone staying. Thank you for a wonderful stay"

"We had a really enjoyable stay at Woodpecker Cottage. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and 60th anniversary, there was plenty of room for all 13 family members inside the property and we enjoyed the outside space using all the facilities. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The bedrooms/bedding/towels all lovely and clean. We would recommend a stay at this property."

"The lounge left side window was taped up and rags placed on the sill to prevent water etc the central window pane was cracked in 2 place. There were mould issues throughout the property, it wasn’t clean and there was a wire hanging loose I have photo evidence. The discrepancy between the actual property and the advertised description was totally different"

"Our overall stay was lovely. The ‘cottage’ was as described however the small ‘garden area’ was over run with vegetation/weeds and was unfortunately unkempt. The property manager was very nice and almost immediately advised I had left my iPad which she organised its return without delay! Fantastic!"

"We loved our time staying at Midsummer Barn. The pictures online do not do it justice. It has character and charm. It is spacious and comfortable and well equipped for everything a family needs for time away. There were fresh eggs and cider to welcome us which was a lovely touch. The view is spectacular and the area is very quiet and peaceful. It’s easy access to motorways, but feels miles away. Yvonne was a responsive, gracious host. "A true home from home this lovely quaint cottage offers. The owner has gone the extra mile to ensure your stay is comfortable and it has everything you would find in your own home. The bathroom is equipped with a fantastic shower. The garden has a quirky seating area, fantastic for those night's when you want to sit outside and enjoy a meal or drink. Location is excellent and just a short drive to Southport. We'll certainly come again."
