"Probably the friendliest, most chilled hotel I've ever stayed in. Staff couldn't do enough for you and always very welcoming. The hotel is a beautiful, 16th century building in the old town centre, which is amazing. I was in a room which faced to road so, sometimes, it could be rather noisy, but the streets are very narrow and it's an old building. Only issue I had was a lack of hot water in the evening but it wasn't a major problem. A 2 star hotel which makes up for it in many other ways."

"Great value for money hotel in the centre of Troyes. Extremely friendly welcome from reception lady who was very helpful. Good size double rooms, nice bedding, great bathroom. Parking extra but only 7 EUR, breakfast 10.50 EUR - cold buffet, not a great selection but fresh warm good-quality croissants which were appreciated and nice coffee. "

We did have some trouble with the air con not functioning properly, which made for a very warm stay in late August, but at least we were able to leave the window open at times for some air (and road traffic noise). The parking situation was also a bit confusing (we weren't the only ones in the same situation), but we were able to resolve it in the end without too much headache;...

"We have stayed at this hotel a few times en-route to the Alps for skiing. Every time we arrive around midnight and always have problems with the automated reception ATM. The problem is hotels.com DO NOT give the B&B reservation code you need to access your reservation with the ATM...so you are forced to call their helpline in the middle of the night. Hotels.com only provide their own itinerary code which is invalid. So, if you know you are arriving late, contact the property in advance and...
