This was by far our favourite stay whilst we were in Tasmania, we were welcomed by a lovely fireplace already setup for us which kept the room nice and cosy the entire time we were there. The cabins are so close to everything at Cradle Mountain. The cabin was so cosy with a lovely four poster bed, spa bath and full kitchen with basics. Will be recommending this place to everyone in the future

This was a cute cabin in the woods right next to the entrance for Cradle Mountain. There is few dining options around which they inform you of beforehand but the staff are incredibly helpful; even lighting our fire for us. Great experience
We loved our little "Wombat" cabin. So cozy with the wood burning fire. Have to keep this full as the nights do get cold. We had plenty of wood filled up right outside our cabin. Loved the layout with a queen bed and bunk beds if there are others in your party. The kitchen has all the conveniences for cooking. We just had some trouble using the oven as it was a gas oven but the stove worked fine. Bathroom and shower was very comfortable. Just a short walk to the cradle mountain visiting centre. Staff at Cradle HIghlander are very communicative and responsive. We loved our stay here and would love to come back.
This property is directly opposite the Welcome Centre for the park. We shared a toasty warm studio -rustic but absolutely adequate for our needs. Good selection of DVDs
Liked having the local wildlife on our step. A wombat tried to join us inside. We saw a pademelon and currawong. So curious.
Dined up the road at the Tavern. We went early and avoided the rush.
Was nice to have a log fire as the temperature went right down.
What a fabulous location. Friendly reception, absolutely lovely cabin with fully appointed kitchen, gas-fireplace, close to several wonderful activities (Cradle Mountain and Tasmanian Devil reserve), beautiful view from all of our windows. COMFORTABLE beds and great shower.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The Bushmans Hut was perfect for our stay in Cradle Mountain. The cabin is compact, cosy and the pot belly stove kept the place nice and warm. It’s great for 2 people and has everything you need to cook your own food.
Wildlife visited us right on our doorstep.
The property is located just across from the visitor center where you can catch the shuttle bus to the National Park.
Would stay there again.
Stayed in the telopea spa. Fantastic bathroom view to the surrounding bush and pandamelons. Kitchen very well equipped with even foil and food wrap for hiking. Communications from the accommodation was very good, especially as we were staying just after a major storm event
A very pleasant stay for our family. The team of staff here is a group of wonderful people.
And we had the great experience of coming so close with Charli, the “resident wombat” here & also a few pademelons right infront of our cottage.
This will be our accomodation again should we be travelling back here to the Cradle Mountains in future.
Everything we needed. Great to arrive to the fire going for us. Beds comfortable, very clean cabin and great communication before arriving. 2 night stay was good for us. Right across the road was the shuttle bus to Dove lake. We enjoyed a pizza at Peppers for lunch and then we went to Cradle Mt Hotel for dinner. Great food.
Cradle Highlander cabins are truly breathtaking!! As soon as you drive into the driveway, it feels like a magical place. The staff were super lovely and very helpful, the cabin we stayed in was just gorgeous and I was genuinely sad to leave. The fire was lit, heaters in the bedrooms were on on our arrival and the setting was cosy and warm. I cannot recommend staying here any more highly and I look forward to coming back another time for a longer stay!
Nice cabin wood heating close to cradle mountain visitor center

A perfect stay in paradise!
Highlanders (Woodsmoke cabin) was perfect!
It is a credit to the cleaners how spotlessly clean the cabins are always presented.
The pot belly fire was wonderful and the cabin was cosy, warm and comfortable.
The Cradle Mountain National Park is amazing and using the bus shuttle into the National Park was easy. $15 pp for 3 days and it’s a 5 - 8 min walk from Highlanders.
We did so many beautiful walks.
It doesn’t matter if is sunny, raining, or snowing this is a very special part of the world and we never get tired of visiting paradise!
Thank you Rachael and team for making our stay so perfect in every way.
We were lucky enough again to have native visitors to our cabin porch.
Many birds - yellow parrot, black currawongs, a wallaby and a pademelon.
Cheers
Suzanne and George
Within walking distance of the Cradle Mountain Visitor Information Centre the Highlander is ideally situated to explore Cradle Mountain. We did not need to use our car for the three days we were on the mountain. The timber cabin is cosy with great wood heater, comfortable bed, efficient kitchen and bench space. Surrounded by beautiful wilderness the cabin is a private and safe hideaway.
