"This is a perfect location - right on the Diamond. Parking is available nearby (metered spaces you can pay for 9 hours at a time). The pool and gym are a huge plus. The dinner and breakfast we had there were very good. There may be wheelchair accessible rooms but the one we had was not (we didn't request one, just an FYI for guests) - although there was a lift there were also stairs between the lift and our room. "

"First time in the Gateway, reception was very friendly, check in was easy. room was a good size, chairs and table meant you didn't have to lie on the bed to relax. Bathroom was well equipped. Room was hot even with radiators off. The Gateway was very handy for town centre, 4-5 min walk. The Bistro is excellent, very friendly and helpful staff and nothing was too muvh trouble. Were going to book again for our next break but fully booked at the time we would like. Definitely recommend a stay here. Well done to all the staff. "

"It was a lovely getaway for 2 nights. Dined in both The Cedar Rooms and Maxwell's, both lovely restaurants. Would highly recommend the T-bone steak. Beautiful grounds for a walk. Had a nice relaxing massage in the spa. Pool area is superb. "

"Be careful as an american they add a service charge and then you add 20 percent tip on top. I was paying 35 percent tip. Not happy with thst."
