"No complaints! We got the peace and quiet from city life that we were hoping for. Be aware that there IS a train that runs through the nearby small town all hours - not too frequently. The host supplied ear plugs in the bedroom drawer for lite sleepers. Their provisions were above and beyond what we have experienced as guests thus far. "

"Easy check in, was good to know there would be no cell service in advance so we could plan for that. Lots of extra amenities provided (single use toothbrushes, combs, etc.) Decor was gorgeous and luxurious, the perfect blend of rustic and elevated. The well water definitely had a distinct color and fragrance—I’d personally recommend bringing plenty of bottled water. Photos of the rooms or the view don’t do it justice, nearly every room overlooks a new angle of the lake glittering between the trees. Would recommend to anyone who needs a place on the north shore that sleeps quite a few people! "

"Property was very clean and comfortable, everything seemed new. I understand they renovated sometime in the last year or two but the place seemed like it just opened. The staff were great, Hailey at the front was very helpful in recommending local activities. The bar at the desk was super convenient, the hot breakfast was good and there were many food options. Bars and restaurants within walking distance, as well as plenty of shopping for necessities, and Virginia has lots of outdoor activities. Beautiful city, great hotel, will definitely stay again! "
