Best Fishing area with awesome views on the banks of the White River

Want some of the best fishing on the White River? Rivers Edge is just 200 yards above The Narrows on the White River, and located between Wildcat Shoals and White Hole. This is a great location for wade fishing. You can walk down the staircase to the river and wade right in.

If you're a boat fisherman, the waters behind Rivers Edge are some of the best on the River, and you will see guides fishing this area regularly. If you have your own boat, the Wildcat Shoals public access ramp is just 2 miles away. Guide services can also pick you up right by the staircase for an unforgettable day of fishing. Plus, River's Edge is an easy walking distance to Cranor's Guide Service (just 4 houses away).

Wake up to coffee on the deck, and enjoy the views of the beautiful White River. Nature is all around, with scenic views of the bluffs directly across the river, and an abundance of wildlife. We've seen eagles right above the deck and flying along the river. From the spacious deck (shady in the afternoon), it's quiet & peaceful and makes for a relaxing get-away. We love our nights relaxing on the deck!

River's Edge is an upscale getaway that has all the amenities of home, but is so peaceful and relaxing. The minute you walk in the front door, there's a great view of the deck, river, and bluffs directly across the river. There's plenty of room for a family or a weekend with friends. This 1900 sq ft home has an open floor plan with a great layout. The Master BR is on one side of the house, with the other two bedrooms & baths on the opposite side of the house. Enjoy the wood burning fireplace, fully equipped modern kitchen that has everything you'll need, and washer/dryer in the utility room.

Outside, there's a covered carport for your car & boat, and a fire pit to enjoy. The back deck is huge, with table & chairs that seats 6 , and an extra-large 30" Weber charcoal grill.

Spend a week or a few days. There is plenty to do on the river, at the lake, or in Branson or other areas. You will definitely enjoy your stay in the beautiful Ozarks, have plenty of fish stories to tell, and will arrive home rested & relaxed.

Awesome Family Vacation
The house was incredible and the host had great communication with us. The location on the river couldn't be beat for fishing and you were simply minutes from town for supplies, food, etc... Everyone in the family enjoyed the home and we had deer, squirrels, eagles, all kinds of birds, etc... each day to enjoy sitting out on the deck. We also could watch them as well view the river from inside the house out the massive glass on the river side. This was definitely the right choice for my family vacation and we hope to make a return trip in the future to enjoy the fireplace inside and the fire pit outside. Definitely one of the best homes on the river.

A true piece of paradise
Absolutely stunning location, house as all the amenities and is well layed out to offer space for friends without being in top of one another. A bathroom for every bedroom, spectacular views of the river, local towns close enough for supplies. One of the best rentals we've ever stayed in.

Only basic direct TV so cannot watch ESPN, TNT, USA or CBS etc. if you want to watch sports ( PGA championship, NBA finals), you will need to bring own HDMI cord with Apple TV or Roku

Great location and house right on the river. It was an easy walk to Cranors for 2 days guided fishing. Spectacularly clean house with a well equipped kitchen. We have done hotels and VRBO many times before and this was the best.

Our family enjoyed our stay so much! The space was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was great, furniture was all comfy, and the view of the river was stunning. The ease of river access made it possible for our guide to pick up and drop off right at the house. We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back again. And seriously - the house was beautiful and far exceeded our expectations.

Great location on the White River!
Beautiful house sitting right on the banks of the White River! Great location to have access to fishing, wildlife watching, and just relaxing. The water was too high to fish from the property, but within walking distance of many fishing guides. We fished 2 days with a guide and caught many large brown trout! We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Outstanding Property & Hosts
Great area, able to land numerous browns from the bank and wading. Direct river access to the premier Sportsman Hole just down from the White Hole before the Narrows. Sportsman’s changed names but this will always be called Sportsman’s hole to me and my family, just up from the narrows we enjoyed the neighbors, the chickens and ducks were cool, the house is clean and comfortable. Thank you for having us and we will be back!

Best vacation ever
We had no problem finding the location. The home was very well furnished and had a lot of kitchen necessities which were available for our use. We were able to view wildlife in yard. The neighbors next door were friendly and even provided us with eggs from their chickens. Of course the White River was the highlight of our trip. We put kayaks in at the dam and floated down to this rental. Stopped for lunch and continued down to Cotter boat ramp. Perfect! Thank you for allowing us to be guests at your property.

Fish for Trout from Your Backyard
The 3/2.5 floorplan was perfect for 3 couples. Each bedroom has a private toilet area and, the 2 bedrooms share a bath/shower. (Sort of a modified jack & jill arrangement.) The back deck provided beautiful vistas of the White River. In fact, on the last day of our stay, I saw a bald eagle swoop down, catch a fish & devour it in the neighbor's tree. Fantastic! The house is located near river access and fishing guide services. We will definitely stay here again!

A beautiful house along the river’s edge!
When we first opened the door we were amazed at how nice a house this is. It’s a first class home that is decorated cleanly and lives comfortably. The back wall of the main room is a panoramic view of the White river and cliffs on the opposite bank this same wall has sliding glass doors which open on to a large deck. Our family (my wife, and two boys ages 11-9) had a great time here. There is a world championship pizzaria 12 minutes away as well as a grocery store. The owner has done a tremendous job of making sure you will have a lovely stay and is very responsive.

Beautiful White River Escape
River’s Edge Lodge was wonderful!!! it was extremely comfortable to stay in. Outside the weather was 105° with the heat index… inside the owners had it very cool for us upon arrival. That was so kind! It was easy to access the water from the backyard and we loved wading. The Dam was running lots of water due to the power needed because of the temperature being over 100 each day so we were careful in the water. The beds are very comfortable and we slept like rocks. Wonderful large shower in the Master suite…. Also much appreciated. The kitchen and living areas are large and very comfortable. The owner gave us a recommendation for Cranors guide service just 4 houses away. We used them and caught 58 trout with Dave. We had an absolute blast! This home is also about 6-7 miles from great food and stores for whatever you need. If you’re looking for a great place to stay on the white river, you have found it! Get it now before it is totally booked..

Blessed Getaway to a Magical Place.
We had problems finding the property and barely were able to get to it before Dark. The Host sent us a link and we followed that after our GPS sending us on a wile goose chase. We were able to get to the property just before dark, however the directions that were given us included over 6 miles on a very rough dirt road. We looked at a map upon getting there and finally decided to turn right on Ferry Road instead of left when leaving the property and it was paved all the way. A MUCH better way to get in and out. The house was nice and clean The house was very cool when we arrived that was nice in such hot weather. The ice maker did not work but we just used the trays and made ice. The dirt road was terrible. The house was nicely stocked on things you might need to cook and we left some things. The Beds were comfortable, but the sheets were not to our liking. Rayon sheets. I laid on blankets and throw I had brought with me. The river was a salvation to just be able to watch it. I have been battling cancer since March 2021 and am having half my liver removed Aug 3. This was the first getaway where we could just lay down if we wanted and do nothing. My husband is 77 and I am 73 and we have battled cancer, 2 surgeries and 6 months of chemo, moved 1200 miles, sold a house. Bought a house , remodeled a house and moved in and then planted many dollars worth of flowers this summer in this horrible heat. We did all of this in the last 16 months, So I just sat on that deck and rocked and played Luther Van Dross. That ribbon of Green Glass washed over my body and healed me in places nothing else could reach. I so wished to get in the water and did stand in it up to my knees. I had to go to the Park in Cotter to swim and I did that twice. I grew up in creeks like this. We drove an hour two days to try to find a swimming hole that was fresh like the White River and did not find it. Blanchard Springs was dried up and so was the Buffalo River. So I had to just sit and watch., but that was healing to me. Our daughter and her husband and my husband fished. We wished that the lower section of steps had been 8 to 10 feed wide so they could have all stood and fished. That was our greatest complaint. We would rent this again. it is nice and in a beautiful spot. I am looking for a property to hold all our bunch for next Memorial Week and would consider this , but it is too small for 15. Beautiful Place, and. we loved the Free Range chickens that came .
