My son and I visited (from WA state) for a fishing trip to the west fork of the Bitterroot River. We had an amazing time. The cabin is beautiful and well stocked with a welcome basket with toiletries, makings for smores, coffee, and farm fresh honey! And plenty of dishes, pots and pans. The bed was comfy with the softest linens. Even though it was 90 degrees in the day, the cabin was cool and comfortable with the windows open in the evening. Everything was set up to be as convenient as possible. I loved the outdoor shower! The view was so peaceful and pretty. Leave the curtain open to enjoy the view, or close it. Either way, the shower was a fun experience at an off grid cabin. The composting toilet was cool and clean. There are solar lights for night time and water, soap and a basin for hand washing. My son was able to catch a few brook trout while hanging out at the creek on site. And the fishing on the west fork was awesome! The only thing I can advise is that the hill from where you park to the cabin is a bit steep. One of those canvas wagons would have been very helpful in bringing things up and down the hill. I highly recommend staying at this cabin. The owners are wonderful and extremely helpful! The experience cannot be beat! I really hope to be back one day!
