We enjoyed our stay inthe off season of May. No crowds so we were able to enjoy the true feel of Cortona.
Cortona Old Town is noteworthy for its historic sites, and you can make a stop at top attractions like Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial and Piazza della Repubblica.

Wonderful old world feel, restaurants and shopping were great. Very clean, safe. History is truly alive here.
Cortona was SPECTACULAR! If I’m able to, I would definitely like to retire there in the future. It is the most picturesque, friendly town I have ever encountered. I absolutely love it!
Nice place for dining options and pretty views.
If you want peace and quiet after a day of exploring the country-side, pick an agriturismo-type lodging. But if you want some level of "nightlife" and a variety of options for dinner after a day of driving around, pick Cortona.
