Charming bungalow in the heart of Southwest Colorado

LOCATION : A traditional, yet unique, two bedroom/one bathroom, single story home with covered/private parking and a spacious fenced in back yard.

Centrally located for day trips to Mesa Verde National Park (13 miles), Canyon of the Ancients (11 miles), Crow Canyon (5 miles), Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (45 miles), Telluride ski resort (73 miles), the Four Corners Monument (40 miles), and Moab, UT (115 miles).

Just a short walk from downtown Cortez, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, parks with tennis and pickle ball courts, cultural center and recreational center, this bungalow-style home offers a quaint and comfortable home away from home as you explore the high desert plains of southwest Colorado.

NOTE: The homeowners live in the Cortez area and are readily available to ensure your stay is convenient and enjoyable

PETS: Dogs welcome (with an additional pet fee of $50.00). Encouraged to crate pets if leaving alone in house. Crates provided by request. Required to pick up after your pets in the back yard by the end of your stay. Do not leave your pets alone in the back yard if you are leaving the home.

Home was wonderful. Beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. The house had everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfortable. The host was very accommodating to our needs. One of the best VRBO’s that we have stayed at. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Wonderful, clean home
This charming little bungalow fit our needs for a home base perfectly. The beds were super comfortable --even the pillows!! The bathroom is clean and modern as is the rest of the house. It is only about 8 miles from the entrance to Mesa Verde. Which, BTW, if you are staying, you have to drive up at night for an amazing view of the Milky Way!

Outstanding House in Cortez
This charming, cozy, well-organized, and nicely appointed home was perfect for our three night stay. Jamie and Rodney should provide training to other VRBO hosts on how to prepare and manage a VRBO property! Great instructions and labels in the house. They seem to have thought of everything guests will need.

We had an excellent stay! The location was perfect for exploring the 4 Corners area and the house was spotless. We really appreciated the welcome gifts and the very comfortable beds!! We would highly recommend and will certainly stay here when returning to the area.

Lovely home in Cortez
The house was in a perfect location. It was very clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, great shower and a comfortable bed. Our dog loved the fenced back yard. Communication with Rodney was excellent. When we are back in Cortez we will definitely try and rent this house for our stay. We had a lovely tiime in Cortez!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was extremely tidy and homey. It had the best backyard for our dogs that came along the way as well. We will most definitely be staying again next year for our yearly trip to Cortez!

Great pet friendly stay
We had a great stay at the bungalow. It had every amenity you could need and our dogs loved the fenced back yard. As other reviews mentioned you have to back out onto the steeet from the carport but we never really had an issue. We only noticed traffic around 8am and 4pm and it was never an issue. Would definitely stay here again!

A Unique Gem
I have been lucky to experience quite a few rental properties all over the World, and the attention to detail in this particular property, is astounding! Every little thing that a guest could need, has been thought about & catered for. Extremely tasteful & clean too. We loved our stay here! The house is less than a mile from downtown Cortez and only 12-15 minutes from Mesa Verde NP. The house is in a quiet walkable neighborhood with a private fenced in backyard, which was great for relaxing after a long day exploring & for our dogs! The house is clean, clutter free, and well stocked with everything from shower needs to kitchen essentials. We highly recommend Jamie & Rodney's place to anyone traveling in this area!

This has to be one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed at. The home was fully stocked with anything you could need. It was clean and welcoming. It truly felt like a home away from home. The owners have gone over and beyond extra snacks and amenities.

Well appointed home perfect for dog
We had a lovely stay in Cortez. The house had everything we needed - kitchen and bath well stocked (even toothbrushes if you forgot). Our greyhound loved hanging out on front porch and fenced in backyard and daily walks at nearby Parque De Vida. The walk to town is .5-.7 miles one way if you want to leave car parked. We parked in front because our car hitch and bike rack dragged on the driveway if used covered parking. The only downside to the house is the traffic noise on E. Empire St. (north side of house), but usually quiet in middle of night.

A wonderful home away from home
We loved our time at Jamie and Rodney’s house. They truly thought of everything to make us feel welcome and at home. The house was immaculate and all of the extra touches made it such a pleasure to stay there. We loved the big fenced backyard for our dog as well as enjoying our coffee on the lovely front porch. We definitely plan to stay there again the next time we visit Cortez.

Superb accommodations and location!
House was very well equipped with all essentials as well as very well appointed. Hosts were helpful with leaving lots of information about local shopping and areas of interest in the area including contact to ask if there were any questions or concerns. The attractions in the area are phenomenal so there’s no loss of things to do. We did not have a dog but dogs are welcome and a large fenced yard.

Beautiful home!
The hosts made this home so beautiful--it is clear they took a lot of effort trying to anticipate all our needs and they were so welcoming with several complimentary items for us to enjoy! The home is close to Mesa Verde and we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon there as well as a really neat tour at the Ute Tribal Park. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this home highly!

Great little place .
Very nice and well appointed home. Perfect for our stay. Nice backyard for our little pup. Everything we needed was there . Everything is well marked and labeled. Would definitely stay again as we travel to the Denver area several time a year to visit family. This is the perfect 1/2 way spot for us.
